We wanted to keep the kids active so we took them for a walk through the forest after doing the luge. It was interesting enough to keep them going with pine cones littering the forest floor.

I went up with a few friends in winter and really enjoyed it. Even though we all had hiking boots it was still a little icy at points. Past a certain point the snow was built up enough to walk safely but visibility was touch...More

It was great for a walk and hike. We did it during the summer months so it was very good. I would recommend anyone who enjoys the walks and hiking to absorb the beautiful surroundings and what nature has to offer!

I started the climb from the top of the gondola after lunch which didn't give me enough time to get to the top, The route was covered with snow and ice which did not make it easy uphill or downhill, very slippery, so don't wear...More

The ascend starts out in a busy and noisy part of Queenstown. As you gradually climb the noise dies down and the views become spectacular. You definitely need to be fit to do this hike/climb.

I believe you can refer at the reception counter at the Gondola station if you need any gears/accessories to climb during winter. We had our climb during autumn and no guided tours needed just follow the trail. I'm not sure... More

In winter conditions alpine skills and experience are needed to attempt the summit of Ben Lomond. You should be prepared for snow and ice above the bushline - an ice axe and crampons may be required. We recommend you visit... More

Yes, you can easily access the trailhead from downtown. Just walk toward the chairlift and you will see the trail. If short on time you could take the chairlift and begin the trail a little further up. There are clear... More
