Some very old gravestones. Many of the sailors and their families, think the oldest grave I saw was dated around 1860.

We stumbled on this cemetery after coming down from the gondola. Wow, there are a lot of Irish immigrants buried in this cemetery! I'm Irish, so I found it to be very interesting to see what parts of Ireland they came from.

Always interesting to explore a cemetery with so much history to be seen here on tombstones. Beautifully cared for and nestled on the side of Queenstown Hill right near the Gondola and Kiwi Birdlife.

I love visiting graveyards and was delighted to spot this one at the bottom of the gondola. It is in a beautiful setting with fabulous views. Lots of history here and lots of Irish ancestry.

I stopped here while friends went up the gondola. What a great snapshot of this Township and communities history. Wonderful old stones which tell a tale of the hardships faced in our early history. Great views across town. A nice quiet spot to relax, stroll and fill in an hour.

At the base of the mountain sits this charming little cemetery! You can learn a lot about a place by visiting a cemetery. Very quiet and peaceful.

A quiet and peaceful place to review historical graves or just sit and relax. Someone had a keen sense of humor as the street sign, Cemetery Road, across from the cemetery reads: No exit.

The small but exclusive cemetery contains a lot of Queenstown's history. There is a mixture of new, old, and very old gravestones that tell a lot about the history of the towns inhabitants. I am told if you are lucky enough to have booked a space it can be an excellent real estate investment.

If you're up here for any reason, and it's a nice day, the cemetery provides beautiful views and a nice walk.
