Absolute wonderful experience! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, the horses are very well cared for, and it is so clear just how much the team adore their horses - it’s definitely a partnership with the horses and guests are encouraged to adopt the same mentality. The ride itself was wonderful, catered to our limited experience, and had absolutely stunning views. The horse I was with Sabby was such a wonderful companion, as was my partners horse Blaze! We had such a wonderful time and the photo package offered by the team is a must, we received some amazing photos!

The scenery is obviously spectacular, the river crossings thrilling, the staff extremely knowledgeable and friendly (thank you Autumn and Gemma) the horses well trained and happy, the equipment you borrow top notch (gloves, boots, helmet and even a Swandri!!!). That would be enough to set this trek aside from the others. However, it is the Natural Horsemanship that truly sets it head and shoulders above any other trek. I have done treks around the world and I have never been taught how to introduce yourself to a horse. That was just the start. Whether you are scared of horses, a beginner or experienced, you will have a gentle and thorough introduction to your horse and riding without a bridle in a safe area before you start the trek. This helps you gain so much confidence. Look forward to another trek next time we are in the area.

We were a group of four booked on the two hour trek - two mums with our two 11 year-old daughters. Our daughters have been taking riding lessons regularly but my friend and I hadn’t ridden in a while (for me it had been 16 years!). We had a fabulous time. Autumn spent about 45 minutes doing horsemanship with us before the trek and it was really worthwhile in order to bond with our horses and feel comfortable and confident. They also don’t use bits with their horses so they gave us a few tips on how to control the horses. We went on a two hour trek with Autumn and Lynetta as our guides. They were very knowledgeable and we did some amazing river crossings and did manage to do a few trots. Unfortunately we didn’t have great weather the day we went and it rained the whole time so by the second hour we were wet and cold but we still thoroughly enjoyed it. We were given a hot mug of Milo afterwards to warm up. We would love to go back another time when hopefully we can have better weather and enjoy the beautiful scenery with some blue sky. I’d highly recommend Lighthorse Adventures. Beautiful horses, friendly staff, stunning scenery and lots of fun.

My partner and I were looking for a fun way to spend the arvo, and we found it. The landscape speaks for itself but as a first time rider the experience was really made by the staff and their friendly, thorough approach. We were talked through the basics of horsemanship and made to feel so comfortable from the get go. This made the ride even more enjoyable and we could really just get into the experience without feeling out of our depth. Thanks to the team and many thanks to Sabby the horse.
