I would love to post a photo. I would love to say this was the experience of a lifetime. I would love to recommend this. But i cant. This was a 50th birthday trip that i had waited 50yrs for. Literally. We had saved hard for this expensive experience. But ine doesnt turn 50 every day. We were blessed with amazing weather in queenstown all weekend. Blue skies and warm weather. On the morning of the flight we were up and prepared to go at 4.30am. Not a breath of wind over queenstown. A confirmation call at 5.15am led to utter disbelief. “Its too windy” he said. The flight is cancelled. “Tomorrow looks better”. Disappointment is an understatement. Two hours late we drove up to coronet peak. Still not a breath of wind. Sunrise management comments on other reviews have actually mentioned that a balloon needs wind to fly. So its beyond me why the flight was actually cancelled. So if u want to organise a bucket list hot air balloon ride. I wouldn’t be recommending this operator. …

Spectacular trip with a very professional crew. Our pilot Carrick accompanied us where the balloon took us! There is certainly more to it than that but quite magical and somewhat exciting not knowing exactly where you will end up. Carrick took us up, down and around and we caught breezes in different directions. The basket was very solid and we could easily look around at the sights and workings of the balloon. lift off was unbelievably gently.... Got some great pics and enjoyed all the set up and pack down of the balloon. The whole operation is very well organized with bus pick ups and the team to meet the balloon upon landing. To Carrick,Squid aka Chris and Lewis. A truely magical experience on a beautiful Waitangi morning. Everything laid on from pick up to final drop off after champers. Carrick that was a flight like no other . Serine magical, scenic and even the landing hit the mark. Know what I mean🤪an experience even for those afraid of heights been in the basket felt very safe and calming unlike most 737s. No safety belt no parachute and luckily no masks or social distancing. We had a fantastic experience and flight during the busy Christmas period. The flight was incredible, we were in the air for about an hour and got to see some beautiful views. We were spun around gently so everyone got to see everything and had countless opportunities for photos. We enjoyed being part of the set up and pack down of the balloon, it felt like a real kiwi experience. Would highly recommend, and worth every penny 👍🏼…
