Canyoning is a great way to experience a wide range of adventure activities in a unique and exclusive setting. Our group sizes are small to ensure a higher quality experience and provide an opportunity to explore and enjoy the stunning natural environment.

Canyoning Queenstown offers exhilarating Canyoning experiences in three unique and gorgeous canyons. We believe we have something for everyone, whether you are a complete novice or have canyoneered all over the world.

- Queenstown Adventurer

The canyon for all ages and abilities. Just a 10 minute drive from Queenstown and you’re ready to enter the canyon. The Adventurer has a bit of everything canyoning has to offer in action filled half day experience.

- Routeburn Explorer

Unleash your adventurous side in this breathtaking canyon in a UNSECO World Heritage Site enjoying a full day sensory overload!Hike part of the world famous Routeburn Track, one of New Zealand's 7 great walks. No experience is necessary, but this trip is definitely for the more adventurous traveller!

- Dart Challenger

Taking it to the next level. For experienced canyoneers only! This trip requires a high level of fitness and prior canyoning experience. Technical instruction will be provided throughout the trip, numbers are kept very small so everyone will get one on one instruction from our guides.

During all of our trips, experienced guides will lead you safely down streams within a canyon by a variety of means:

- Leaping through waterfalls into crystal clear pools

- Flying across the canyons on ziplines

- Navigating through riverbeds

- Abseiling/rappelling down cliffs

- Sliding down natural slides

- Swimming through stunning chasms

We did the Routeburn trip and enjoyed every second. The canyoning was challenging but great fun. A great sense of achievement when overcoming the tricky sections or plucking up the courage to leap from the high points. ML, Elsa and the other guides were all lovely and made you feel secure, even half way down a waterfall. It was a... More

I hadn't been to Queenstown before so I didn't know what to expect. I love that there are so many adventure activities for all ages, and I did quite a few, but, by far, my favourite was canyoning in the Routeburn Canyon. This is probably one of the few activities that is worth the money you pay for it given... More

Many of the so called 'extreme activities' in Queenstown aren't really that extreme and simply involve sitting in some fancy ride that costs you hundreds of dollars for a few minutes of thrill. And then there is canyoning! This is an activity that lasts several hours, puts you in pristine natural surrounds, and gets you to actually experience the thrill... More

I've never been canyoning before and had no idea what to expect at all. We went for the Routeburn Explorer option and it was absolutely wild. The first waterfall is done headfirst backwards, and it just got crazier from there. We abseiled, ziplined, jumped and slid down the beautiful routeburn canyons, in probably the purest water I've ever experienced. The... More

We did this on Honeymoon and it was our first experience of canyoning and we will definitely do it again! The boys who led the group (Josh and Jumbo) were awesome and the afternoon was brilliant! We launched ourselves in and out of the water, zip-lined, abseiled and climbed our way about and had great fun!! Despite the water being... More

I did the half day canyoning and would say it was one of the best activities I did here in Queenstown! This was our first experience at canyoning, and I can hugely recommend it. We felt like we were doing something really adventurous and risky, but in reality we were completely safe and looked after, and it wasn't too demanding physically (so perfect for first-timers like us). We slid down waterfalls, jumped and abseiled into deed cold-water pools, floated down narrow... More

I did the Queenstown Canyon yesterday and it was amazing! Firstly the guides were awesome. The tour group is small so you get a really personal experience by the team. There were different levels of competence in the canyons and also a few language barriers but the boys leading us, Josh and Jumbo, were super patient and able to accommodate... More
