This is an activity that is an absolute must for Queenstown, I would’ve regretted it if I skipped this one.
Canyoning was such a thrilling and unforgettable experience. We saw some absolutely amazing views and our guides (Lorna and Hedda) were so knowledgeable and professional, they made us feel safe despite us being complete beginners. They ensured we had an absolutely fantastic time all while sharing amazing knowledge with us AND took incredible photos of us that will be going straight in our travel scrapbook! Shoutout to Oscar for being incredibly helpful during the booking process and explaining everything we were going to be doing on the adventure in depth.
Out of all the activities we tried out in Queenstown (and we tried a LOT) this was the one that stood out to me the most. The most bang for your buck: you get a scenic drive, lovely hike, zip lining, abseiling, swimming, sliding, and more. We will absolutely be returning to do the longer canyoning adventure next time, 10/10!!

My sons and I had a fantastic experience on the half day canyoning tour. The guides, Jess & Dawson were professional, friendly and funny and made us feel like we were in safe hands. There were a couple of challenging water jumps that helped us push ourselves but those who didn't want to do them could opt out. It was nice to hear facts about some of the flora and fauna also and shows the guides have an appreciation of the environment. Thanks guys. An exciting way to end our holiday.

The best part of canyoning was a jump into a pool from about 6 or 7 meters. Not far behind was a slide into a pool, a couple of zip lines, abseiling down a rock face and dropping into a pool. We did all of that and more on a ~4 hour tour. It was great fun and highly recommended! Our guides Oscar, Lorna, Dawson were awesome! They explained all activities and I felt safe while still having an exciting fun adventure!

This was one of the best activities I have done in New Zealand and possibly all of my travels. Ryan and Tom were super fun and patient with us as beginners. Even the half day trip is full of jumps, slides, absails, and zip lining. If you are looking for some easy time in nature sight seeing this is not the activity for you, but I would 100% recommend to anyone who is active and looking for adventure.

The half day trip was my 1st Canyoning experience. I loved it and would like to do a full day trip. Everything is arranged well. Our guide are super helpful, explain everything clearly and efficiently. They also are very supporting, not only with the activities but also give me the confidence to go for the seemingly scary jumps - those were really fun! Strongly recommended.

This was one of the best activities I've done. Fun and challenging at the same time. Ryan and Kim made sure all the time we were safe while enjoying the water and explained everything carefully so we could make the most of this experience.

We are a family that joined the half day tour,18 to 61 years old. After we did it,the eldest one had no idea he started to be afraid of heights now, the youngest one can't wait to join the full day tour next time. We all had fun and had a great day, follow the rules and you will be safe. The tour guides Dan and Lorna are fantastic, so if u are in Queenstown and the weather is fine, join this tour and have fun!

I went on a half-day canyoning trip with two of my friends and we had an incredible time! Our guides were helpful and kind and made us all feel very safe while fostering a great experience! This trip was definitely good for beginners and was a great introduction to canyoning. Highly recommend!

We did a half day canyoning tour with Ryan and Lorna. This was an awesome event, challenging our two teenagers and giving them an awesome time! We as parents enjoyed it also. We can recommend the adventure and would nit hesitate to do it again! Ryan no and Lorna were the best team ever, always smiling, very caring and we felt safe during the entire tour. Thanks so much for offering such an adventure!

Experience was not what we expected. For it being a half day booking, we were really only in the canyon for like 60 minutes. The rest was held up in transporting to a garage to put wet suits on and then transferring again to the canyon. The ziplines were short and disappointing, and once in the canyon, it was mostly just belly flopping in various pools.

Approximately how long does the climb take? And do you have to climb back down or is there a different way to get down?

Contacts are recommended as there is a risk of you loosing your glasses into the water. We provide a full length wet suit that will cover your arms.

Our last Canyoning trip of the season takes place on the 30th April. Our canyon's are very aquatic and therefore as we head towards winter it is too cold to go in the canyons.
Maybe you can join us on your next trip to Queenstown.

We are a family of 5 on tour Xmas 2016. Can we do this with swing and fox on same day?
Is bungee also nearby?

They are all just outside of town (30 mins max I think) and all provide transport from central Queenstown to their respective locations.
If you're with a family, I'd recommend doing Canyoning on a different day to swing and fox. You could squeeze it all in if you did swing first thing in the morning (remember you get wet doing canyoning, and it is a physical activity, so you may not feel like jumping off a platform afterwards).
I did Canyoning, then Dark Ride (a fun indoor activity, in central Queenstown)... this may be a nicer match.
There's a few different companies which do fox and swing - check out AJHackett as they do all three (including bungy).

If April 30th is your last day of the season does this mean the final week of April is less Adventurous?

Not at all. The water levels are still at a pretty consistent flow at this stage and the trips run as per usual.
The reason we close at this stage of the year is due to dropping temperatures as we approach winter.

I noticed some of the older posts said people could not bring their own go pro’s? Is this still the case…..

No it's not. You can totally bring your own Go Pro! Generally we find helmet mounts get the best footage, most of our helmets have sticky mounts so you just need the attachment to clip in. Alternatively if you have a chest or wrist mount they're good too but your hands need to be free.
