Absolutely amazing, Such a great time and Ribbi the pilot was both professional and friendly on top of being an absolute master behind the controls of the Squirrel!
he showed us the scenery while expertly flying between the mountains and executing perfectly smooth takeoffs and landings like he was dropping a Huey into a hot LZ in Vietnam.....except with snow.
An unforgettable experience that was full of laughs in one of the best places on the planet fly a chopper! will definitely do it again......*the flight that is, not another marriage, 1 wedding is enough for me.

One of the best adventures we have done. Only a 5 km guided hike , but was like creating your own trail. Saw many wild deer, snow melt water falls and trail terrain was a mix of snow , ice and ground.
We finished at the head of one of the many tributaries that feed to Lake Wakatipu. This was a highlight being in the base of a sheer cliffs and an ice glacier. The Glaciers close up was breathtaking with sounds of occasional breaking ice echoing through the valley.
No photo can do this place justice.
Breathtaking. Obviously why this terrain is a background for movie and TV (Lord of the Rings and others ).
The heli tour around the mountain ranges and glaciers was equally impressive and part of package. Our pilot Craig was amazing and got us so close to the glacier. He went out of his way to find us an area to land that no one else had been to enjoy the magnificence of this area.
We cannot recommend this adventure enough. Apparently it is highly booked in summer but our preference would be winter and experience the mild cold , ice and snow.
Our guide was Ethan who was very knowledgeable and a real local. Sadly he told us based on the how much this glacier has shrunk in size over the last 50 years, it may not be around in 30 years time. Sorry to be glum, but see it while you can

Very friendly service, with the receptionist in regular contact around weather updates and bringing our flight forward to suit the conditions.
The pilot was very informative with local knowledge and provided a great flight showing all his skills and abilities to ensure we felt safe the entire flight.
Would highly recomend to any body visiting the area.

If anything should be on your bucket list, it's definitely this! The staff are friendly and welcoming and our pilot Jeremy was really easy going and also taught us a few things about the area as we flew over the amazing landscape. Seeing the maunga from a helicopter is so much better than a plane and then watching the glacier and waterfalls slowly emerge is breath-taking. The landing sight was really tranquil and my mother and I had lots of fun just walking along the stream. Our picnic lunch was really nice and chatting with Jeremy gave it a real laid back kiwi feel. It is worth every cent!

I can't rate Heliworks highly enough. We had hiked up Cecil Peak to camp over night and had booked 2 helicopter trips out for the next morning for our group. With the weather forecast predicting rain for the day, we had already changed our pick up times and group numbers (of which Heliworks was super accommodating) but unfortunately when we awoke it didn't look like the weather would accommodate us. As we hiked down we got a call from Heliworks who said the pilot was confident he could get us with a small break in the clouds. The pilot was epic, found us and saved us from a very soggy descent. Everyone was awesome and we all really appreciated the extra effort they put in to come and get us. The fight was great fun and a brilliant way to finish our trip. Thank you so much for everything.

Booked the flight to Mt Earnslaw Glacier with a picnic on the burn (grassy area at its base) for a wedding anniversary. Awesome weather helped but great service, professionalism and going the extra mile to ensure everything went well, a special landing overlooking Glenorchy and the top of the lake. The burn is an awesome place with waterfalls all around as the snow melts in the sun. A truly memorable experience, thanks!

Visiting Milford Sound was the most anticipated part of my holiday and I was not disappointed. Booking Heliworks made the experience even more special and it was worth every penny. The helicopter pilot, Craig was knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. The modern helicopter was comfortable, with large windows to enjoy the scenery.
The cruise was peaceful and amongst the glorious waterfalls, we had pods of dolphins swimming beside the boat, saw penguins playing, and seals sunning themselves on the rocks. Lunch was included and we were the envy of the other passengers. Popping our half bottle of champagne while eating our gourmet lunch finished off the day beautifully.

We didn’t think the flight was going to happen but at the last minute the rain cleared for our little patch of mountain.
There were rain clouds all around us and the sun beamed through the clouds onto the lake.
So still and peaceful!
The pilot; Chris made us feel very safe and relaxed the whole trip.

We just completed a short snow landing flight with our young son. I picked this company as they don’t charge extra for little ones and they look like they have a good safety record and lots of experience.
We also had free pickup and drop off from our hotel (taxi).
Our pilot was Craig and he took us straight up the Remarkables and picked a nice sunny spot to land on with lots of views of all the ranges and Queenstown and surrounding areas. We had about 15 mins on the snow to take photos and then back down via a small circle over Queenstown. Craig was informative and friendly and professional.
Overall a great short flight and would recommend. If we come back this way we would try to do one of the more remote trips with this company.
Minor note: ground facilities could do with having the cleaner come through - clean but bins needed emptying :)

Finally got to see parts of the Southern Lakes and Fiordland region just on our doorstep after living here over 13 years. From the Greenstone river valley over glaciers and mountain upon mountain through to the west coast and a beach landing on a secluded spot near Milford. On the way back traversing more spectacular glaciers and alpine lakes with sheer drop offs to valleys below. The flight was clinched by a landing in Earnslaw Burn at he foot of the Earnslaw glacier. What a spot with pristine waterfalls and rivers that are stunning beyond belief. This must be what heaven is like!

We are looking to book with them as well. Do you recall specifically what package you two went with?

We went on the "ultimate paradise picnic'. Landed on a snow capped mountain nearby (they asked us if we would like to land on the snow or grass somewhere). We were up there for about an hour and a half, awesome experience!
