Such a wonderful cruise with magnificent views of the mountains and landscape surrounding Queenstown and lake Whakatipu. Great onboard commentary by Eddie and such a warm welcome by Betty at the booking kiosk. Also the on board bar topped off the sunny day experience. 10/10 recommend for locals and visitors alike!

Was one of the highlights of my Queenstown trip. Max our captain was super insightful and taught me a lot about QT. The views from the boat were incredible, with Max giving us photo opportunities everywhere we went. He also asked if anyone wanted to come up to the Captain’s chair and take a photo with the hat, what a fantastic inclusion which will be very memorable. There was a honesty bar which had a wide selection of beer and wine + snacks. I urge everyone viewing this to go on this cruise! You won’t regret it.

Unfortunately we found the cruise boring and not worth the $49 per head. Unless you are interested in a tour of the “million dollar” Queenstown houses, I will probably look somewhere else.

Sorry you found our cruise boring, its funny why you would mention it is just about houses, we only mention 2 along the way - we also tell people about our Historic Dam, the willow Islands, all about how Queenstown came about, where several films were made, our wilding pines and people get a fantastic shot out on the bow with our famous Remarkables in the background, (I bet you didn't even get your photo taken!!!) also the stunning crystal clear waters when we make our way through the channels where you can see the bottom of the lake. Did you see our huge trout and also some of our birdlife? We have over 1,000 plus 5 star reviews so that speaks for itself. Perhaps you should have gone on a jet boat Luisa.

MILLION DOLLAR CRUISE is an entirely different experience from the EARNSLAW trip, and provides guests with close to shore views of magnificent homes and stunning features such as the clarity of the crystal clear water where in shallow areas you can see the stones beneath the hull. This cruise also provides great photo opportunities. Owner operator Wayne gave a very informative and interesting commentary throughout the 90 minute cruise and I feel this should be on the MUST DO list for all visitors to this exquisite destination.

thanks Riverslea for a fantastic review - the water is pretty stunning isn't it specially where it is shallow and you can see the bottom of the lake.
