Join our flexible & hassle-free local winery shuttle service. Departs daily from Queenstown at midday (12.00pm). With no set timetable & no stress, you simply discuss with your friendly onboard wine guide, the options of where you'd like to be dropped off to & picked up from. You will be well entertained with lots of freedom at an array of winery restaurants & tasting rooms, all highlighting our amazing Central Otago wines. There’s lots to do, such as wine & cheese tastings, walking & bike ride adventures, or enjoying a local craft beer. All the wineries are very close together making it easy to give you the best day out & we'll have you back in town by 6pm (approx.). Our Wine Hopper service offers you the easiest way to enjoy the wineries at your own pace, in your own way, on the day. Check out our reviews & give us a call if you have any questions. Fabulous Day exploring stunning vineyards

Andrew our guide picked us up on time and helped us plan our day. He made everything easy and relaxed and was very knowledgeable about the area. Thanks Andrew we really enjoyed our time with you and thoroughly recommend this tour🤗 Ayrburn was our favourite destination of the day🤩 what a stunning venue🥰

Fabulous service with two drivers over our day, both gorgeous and amazing local knowledge. Debs was absolutely incredible and obliging. A great way to spend the weekend

Such an awesome friendly service from pick up to drop off. Debs was accomodating, clear with times and is such a nice person. We would definitely use this service again, as it’s a great way to adventure around the vineyards. Thanks again

Great Winery Experience

Ed was the perfect guide, so knowledgeable and accommodating. There were only 4 of us on the tour, which was perfect. We visited 3 wineries at a leisurely pace (our choice). This is a great, low key way to experience the wineries near Queenstown. Highly recommend!

Debbie made the trip amazing

We were very lucky to have Debbie as our tour guide on the easy and fun wine tour. The wine tour takes you to the best vineyards in Otago (just outside Queenstown). Debbie asked us what we would like to do and tailored our trip to our needs. The bus is comfortable and roomy. I would recommend lunch at Gibson Valley Vineyard (which Debbie recommended).

A wonderful fun filled day

We were on the hopper at 10am and back in early evening. We had a fabulous day and visited some lovely little quirky places and wineries. There was absolutely no pressure from the driver to stick to any itinerary and only had to text him if we wanted to move on to our next stop. You could stay all day at the one winery if you wanted or go to as many you could fit in. We started at Gibbston Winery which we were glad we could get it out of the way, least favourite of the day re tastings and atmosphere. Had a yummy chicken pizza at Gibbston Tavern for lunch. Have been to Queenstown/Arrowtown/Wanaka area many times and would have driven past this place also numerous times and didn’t know it existed. It was a rustic old place but we really enjoyed it. Would recommend Mt Rosa and Brennan wineries, good tastings. Rockburn was a little disappointing with their miniature tastes and cost was on par with the others which were more generous. Our favourite of the day and at no charge was Peregrine. This was not on the Hoppers destination but we asked to be dropped there and then walked to the tavern from there which isn’t far. We felt the young lady at Peregrine gave good tasting notes too and the architecture of the building is impressive. We bought bottles of their wine to take home. We had a very friendly driver on our tour Angus who even bought out his guitar and sang some songs at our last stop which was Waitiri wines and Cargo Brewing. Would recommend doing this full day tour, it would be wonderful on a summers day as the wineries all had outdoor tables and chairs. We might just do that another time.

Tour was flexible but provided suggestions also. Wines were sensational.

Well organised, very flexible but also could provide recommendations. Wineries are great, I was sceptical about wineries but the wines are seriously good. Kinross is a multi-branded outlet that requires a booking which the team organised for us, sensational wines. Mt Rosa is a lovely place to eat a platter and taste great wine. We did the bike riding from Arrowtown first which was great with the family, not too difficult. Would 100% recommend you do this.

A great way to spend an afternoon in Queenstown

Having not done a wine tour before I didn't know what to expect. I must have started with the best as it was a faultless afternoon. Andrew our driver was very knowledgeable and keep our afternoon moving at our own pace. So relaxing and so much fun. I'll be back again. Thank you

Wine Hopper Bus is a MUST DO!!

We had Andrew as our tour driver and he was fantastic. Andrew is very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The afternoon was amazing and it felt like we were on our own personalised wine tour as we didn’t have to stick to a set timetable due to Andrew’s flexibility and making sure everyone was accommodated. We would highly recommend booking through Wine Hopper bus.
