The scenery and location of the Walter Peak Farm Tour is absolutely stunning. The sheep herding demonstration was very good, although the working dogs and six sheep were contained within large a field pen compared to our past visits here. The staff was friendly and...More

We visited the Walter Peake Farm as part of a cruise package on the TSS Earnslaw, a 100-year old steamship. We opted to take our own sandwiches and have the cream tea in the afternoon, rather than the '' BBQ lunch, which meant that we...More

Beautiful but disappointing. We had been recommended this outing by New Zealanders and travelled there with friends who had been before. Previously I believe, the “farm tour” included watching working sheep dogs do an incredible display of rounding a herd of sheep from a large...More

Loved this original steamboat. Like stepping back in time..the smell of coal, the mini museum..the views.. it was all lovely...Walter peak sheep shearing demo was informative and bbq lunch was the best. This is one of the highlights of our trip to queenstown...highly recommend it.

This is a ride on an old steamboat (1912) for about an hour to a wonderful sheep farm where you are shown how they herd sheep, how they shear sheep, etc, then taken into a beautifull building for a fabulous bbq buffet lunch.

Great morning tea and pastries. The gardens were absolutely beautiful! It was interesting watching the sheep being sheared and herded. The steam boat ride was wonderful with absolutely breath taking views! Great for all ages

Caught the Earnslaw over the Walter Peak for the Farm Visit and afternoon tea at the homestead. What a wonderful old building and lovely afternoon tea The farm visit was lovely especially with people feeding the Scottish Highland Cattle and being slimmed.

Very pleasant half-hour cruise across a scenic lake to good food in a nice ranch-house setting. Spread of BBQ meat and fish were quite extensive, as were the salads and hors d'oeuvre. Best of all was the sticky date pudding and ice-cream!
