I would not hesitate to book this trip. Russ our guide was wonderful. He arrived on time and everything was timed perfectly. The helicopter tour, jet boats, great lunch in Town ( and my Vegan was happy) . Transport was perfect with a lot of room. Thank you so much for a great day,

From skydiving, to jet boats, heli ride over to Cecil Peak, Delicious eateries, Morning coffees, late night shopping and the Cabaret wars! Russ went above and beyond for us making our trip extremely memorable! What an outstanding Host, we feel very lucky to have shared our experience with a top guide showing us all the best spots of queenstown!

We were part of a group of eight that tecently travelled to Queenstown for the Motatapu race weekend. Russ organized an exciting week of activities for us prior to the race. He handled every detail including changes and extras throughout the week with efficiency, a smile and a fun sense of humour (including a VERY early wake up call on his birthday). In fact we joked that Russ knew what you needed and took care of it before you knew you had a need 😊. Without hesitation we would recommend having Adventure Junkies help you plan and execute your trip of a lifetime.

This was an exceptionally well managed and well conceived itinerary. We asked adventure junkies to create a tailor-made itinerary for two couples attending the South Island for the first time.
Everything was brilliantly planned and executed. Our guide Russ was very thoughtful and planned each day in advance, attending to the needs of his guests and judging the duration of adventures according to ability.
When weather events caused I need to rapidly change plans, he was always ahead of the game and very informed about the options available.
We would have no hesitation in recommending adventure junkies for a similar type of holiday.

It's always fantastic to hit the mark when creating a bespoke adventure itinerary, we work hard to create seamless tours for all our clients that include just the right amount of adventure, and of course, always have more "up our sleeve" at every opportunity.
This trip really was so much fun with lots of laughter and so many great stories shared, very memorable indeed.

What a fantastic ten days in New Zealand, thanks to the care, thought and planning that Russ put into our trip. Meeting him on day one in Christchurch, we discovered we were being shown the South Island by a thoughtful, kind expert, who managed every day so well. He always had options for us, whether cycling in Queenstown, helicopter trips, hiking, wine tastings (including one at a small off the beaten track vineyard which was fantastic), and offers of much more, (not always taken up !), including bungee jumping and heli-biking, all seamlessly bound together as we were transported from place to place. He judged our appetite for adventure and customised our days perfectly, and we enjoyed both the food he organised and restaurants he recommended. We all agreed we need a Russ for all our future trips.

An amazing trip with an amazing guide we had two weeks of unforgettable experiences in the South Island .
I would have no hesitation in recommending Russ and his South Island trip , he took infinite care with us , treated us like gold dust ,foresaw
any problems and dealt with them .
We had a seamless trip because of the planning that Russ put into it all , even down to foreseeing new shoes may produce the need for plasters, and producing a potato when my husband felt a lack of carbs , no stone unturned by Russ , a very thoughtful guy .
Russ is also extremely knowledgeable , personable , good fun and has lots of interesting anecdotes for the journeys between destinations .
If you are journeying to the South Island Russ is your man .

Of course another easy 5 stars from me! Better late than never! Just leaving New Zealand! ;-(
I can’t recommend Adventure Junkies enough. Russ was truely incredible- taking care of all the details for the most fantastic and fun trip, He went way above and beyond to sort everything so it was totally stress free for us (though I’m sure not for him!!) - all we did was enjoy ourselves & relax.
Russ put the trips together so thoughtfully, so even the travel to & from the activities were amazing eg. cycling or taking a ferry through stunningly beautiful scenery & then afterwards going to a brewery or winery to debrief and rave about how incredible the day was.
I thought it was actually great value- it’s not a cheap trip but did a lot of research & found it much better than the competition considering what is included.
As it’s Russ’ own business (& actually I think mostly just because he is a genuinely great guy who loves what he does) he really cares about making sure everyone is looked after & is having the best time. As just one example (there were many!) I arrived with a water damaged phone from my previous trip (def not his responsibility!!) & he took it in to a phone shop & picked it up for me whilst I was off having fun kayaking / helibiking etc! It was also super relaxed & flexible so if people didn’t want to do every activity (or wanted to do something different) to make their trip perfect for them, he would make it work.
The provided meals were great (no ‘fixed menus’ - you could choose whatever you wanted) & on the evenings he recommended the best places & he joined us to eat & have a few drinks for those that wanted.
Russ also knows the country well & gave amazing advice for the days I had to plan for after the tour.
Thank you Russ- I really had the best time - once in a lifetime trip- & wish you & Adventure Junkies every well deserved success!

April it was completely my pleasure to show you the South Island of NZ and share 10 days of adventure with you. I think it's fair to say that your energy and antics will be long remembered by all involved, so thank you for being a big part of a great Adventure Junkies tour!!

What can I say... you deserve a 5 star trip advisor rating.
- 1 star for arranging breakfast and lunch every day;
- 1 star for telling us what we would need to wear everyday (as the weather can change alot depending on the time of day and altitude)
- 1 star for backtracking on day 1 of the tour to pick up my sun glasses and hat that I left behind;
- Minus one star for constantly reminding me to check for my hat and sunnies every morning;
- 1 star for the fact that I probably would have forgotten my hat and sunnies again had you not reminded me every morning;
- 1 star for all the awesome activities on the tour (zip lining, white water rafting, hiking, biking, jet boating)
- 1 star for your knowledge of the New Zealand culture, locations, history, fauna, etc
- Minus 1 star for your Australian "shackle dragger" joke (although I did secretly like and appreciate it)
- 1 star for going out of your way to source and book extra activities (Heli Biking was amazing);
- 1 star for the amazing whether we had and the fact that you managed to work around the activities when the weather wasn't perfect;
- 1 star for your brain teasers in the van to help make travel time seem shorter;
- Minus another star for your Australian "shackle dragger" joke (just because you are earning too many stars)
- Add another star for your Australian "velcro glove / sheep" joke (although I think that is a New Zealand thing more than an Australian thing)

What a great review RK, all the LOLZ and 5 stars to boot! We're not sure when `boring accountants' got so adventurous but hey we're totally down with that. Russ took us on an action filled, 10 day adventure on the south island. We were comfortably driven all over the country. Due to his thorough planning of of this package, every aspect of the trip including the best activities, food and lodging were lined up and the trip went flawlessly. Off road biking, hiking, white water rafting, jet boating, zip lining were just a few of the days adventures. He told us about the contry and took us places that only the locals would know. Russ bent over backwards to accommodate everyone and make this the trip of a lifetime. I would not hesitate of recommend Adventure Junkies to all my friends.
