Queenstown is a really cool place to hang out, however if the hustle and bustle becomes overwhelming. The gardens are a very peaceful place to hang out, nice to walk around the point, or play frisbee golf or have a picnic. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in novotel which sits right by qurenstown garden. There's a great playground that my daughter loves, and it's by the lake too so it's very peaceful to just watch the ducks swim and play. Theres also Frisbee golf, ice rink and ...etc.

The early winter chillies did not deter a garden stroll with Carolyn. A spectacular addition to the beautiful city that is Queenstown.

Lovely location for a park. A lovely walking track following the waters edge. There are clear maps with walking tracks, and if your up for it freezbee golf. A rose garden that was even blooming in winter.

The views here were just marvelous! It was one of my highlights in Queenstown! You could walk a lot along the coast, or if it was too windy you could head up to a path that was more inland.

Fabulous light sculptures and a really nice atmosphere - bands, lots of people and no entry fee - well worth doing

Will be visiting with elderly mother in June 2017. What kind of shoes should we bring so she doesn't slip if there is ice?

The garden is not too difficult for walking, hiking boots ideally but if they are too heavy, runners can be fine, lot of people go there for a run so stay on the tracks or walkways and she will be fine

We will be in Queenstown in mid June. Will there still be things to see in the park during their winter?

Sorry. Stayed in a room with only one queen bed, so can't really help. Normally the hotels got a queen and single in a family room which works fine. Enjoy your trip. Queenstown is lovely!!
