Pretty spot

Lovely gardens near the centre of Queenstown. There are some great views of the lake and back towards town if you walk all the way out to the tip of the peninsula.

It's the perfect place for a little walk or a break with a picnic. It is super central situated and you can also do lots of activities there. For example frisbee golf, slackline or skaten. Nice and peaceful place with good views over the lake and the remarkables.

Well maintained public garden space along Lake Wakatipu. There are many different types of flowers and trees. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice break from all of the tourists and hustle and bustle.

We decided to take a walk one afternoon when we had some free time and stumbled upon these gardens. We spent a few hours leisurely walking around, stopping to take in the views and admiring the flowers. It's a gorgeous garden with lots of little happenings going on. We noticed some people playing some sort of frisbee game amongst the... More

I take a walk through these gardens each time I am in Queenstown. It is just beautiful and the trees are amazing. I highly recommend taking this walk.

The gardens offer a peaceful respite from the tourist-thronged streets. Well-planned, they offer a good taste of NZ.

Having just arrived in Queenstown, we decided to stroll through these gardens located next to the lake. Not only were we gobsmacked by the many varieties of trees and flowers but also by the amount of activity going on. For example, interspersed throughout the trees were frisbee hoops plus players trying to toss them into these hoops. Fascinating. Plus the... More
