We enjoyed strolling around the gardens and looking at the well kept garden beds. The gardens do get rather busy in the summer but it feels as though you can escape down one of the many paths.

Make sure to walk the perimeter and catch the lake views in addition to enjoying the gardens. If you’re not playing frisbee golf, you’ll have to beware the discs, but this is a lovely spot.

Frisbee golf is the best family fun to be had in queenstown. We always head to the gardens for a round (usually takes about 2 hours). Kids and adults love it! Great in summer as you are right on the lake edge for a dip....More

Walked around them many times for the stunning views and this time walked through them too. Like a little slice of England in the South Pacific with formal flower beds and ornamental lake. We didn’t play the frisbee golf but saw others having fun with...More

There is a nice walk around the lake and through the garden. Better done in the morning for less people and it is nice and quiet. They have lots of roses in the middle which my wife enjoyed. It is free relaxing and you can...More

The gardens cater for everyone. There are paths along the lake front with great views of the mountains and benches along the way. There are 2 different paths you can take to walk along, a short one and a long one. In the gardens themselves...More

The lake walk and the side trip into these gardens is a delight for the senses. They are beautifully maintained with the lake as a backdrop. The roses were still in bloom and the scent of the variety of pine trees was lovely. The little...More

These gardens are splendid for strolling in, especially an evening walk, containing rose gardens, lovely mature trees, waterlily ponds and ducks aplenty.

The garden is not too difficult for walking, hiking boots ideally but if they are too heavy, runners can be fine, lot of people go there for a run so stay on the tracks or walkways and she will be fine

Sorry. Stayed in a room with only one queen bed, so can't really help. Normally the hotels got a queen and single in a family room which works fine. Enjoy your trip. Queenstown is lovely!!
