We love visiting the queenstown gardens. We invested in some good frisbees a few years ago and keep 5 in the car for these occasions. We play 'ambrose' in 2 teams with each team taking the best of their throws for the next shot - otherwise I would never get round!! We also play a favourite family 'wide' game at... More

Autumn in the garden is beautiful, leaves are falling, locals are friendly and will stop to chat. Roses also still in bloom.

Really lovely park with a great playground and rope swings over the little stream. It's great for playing around and cooling off in the lake. Beware of going barefoot. Lots of people drink at the lake in the evenings and leave bottles which then get broken by the tide.

We went for a long walk around the lake early this morning. The trail took us through this beautiful parkland filled with gorgeous age old trees, flowers and of course ducks! Don't miss this beautiful place for a picnic, quiet retreat, run, walk or just to observe the serenity!

We recently walked through these beautiful gardens. Lots of trees to look at, roses, statues and monuments. All well sign posted. Frizbie golf targets and even a bowling green. The walk meanders down to the water and you can take the return route along the waters edge.

A pleasant walk through the Queenstown Botanic Gardens, either along the lake shore path or through the garden paths. On this occasion spoilt by very loud music in the centre of the gardens - not compatible with the setting or usual expectations for botanic gardens.
