Nomad Safaris Quad Bike Tour at Queenstown Hill was great fun. Having never ridden a quad bike before i was a bit nervous, but the guides take you around on a practice track before you go out, and they teach you how to sit properly on the bike in different situations you may encounter. (make sure you listen, or you'll... More

What an experience! Great half day tour around the area, so much beautiful scenery and plenty of fun, could not have done much better, even the weather was perfect. The guide Ben was brillant, very knowledgable yet humorous. Best part must have been the offroading through the river but the views from the Remarkables were just as spectacular, the road... More

It felt like a slow roller-coaster a lot of the time :) it was a pretty great tour. Lots of interesting scenery:)! The driver (Danny) was great. I had bad heartburn at the start of the trip so he found se oregano growing by the side of the road and got me to eat it. Cured it almost instantly! Also... More

Did the Mace town trip. Spent 4 hours travelling up the Arrow River. Fantastic scenery and really informative driver (Dale). Great value trip. Plenty of river crossing and 4 wheel drive country. Ideal for family. Our 12 and 14 year olds really enjoyed the trip.

Joining Nomad Safari was the best part of my family's trip in NZ! The scenic views and shooting scenes for LOTR were incredibly beautiful. no word can describe it any better. you've just got to go there! on top of that, we had so much fun riding that off-the-road jeep up and down the river. let me warn you that... We did the Skippers Canyon 1/2 day tour in July '10. It was not a planned activity during our trip but whilst in Queenstown we decided it might be fun. We were lucky enough to have David, who owns the business, take us on the tour. We were a little apprehensive given it was the middle of winter with icy... More

Nomad Safaris takes you to see the places where Lord of the Rings was filmed around Queenstown and the drivers are very information and friendly. The bonus of having a small 4WD (as opposed to a 4WD bus or similar) is that you are taken off road along Skippers Canyon Rd, to Arrowtown and along the river bed (yes, actually... More

Did both the trips Trip A - Wakatipu and Trip B Glenorchy the same day both with our driver Tim who was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable. The Wakatipu Trip takes you round the sheer drops of Skippers Canyon, then down to Arrowtown where you are driving through rivers thinking 'where is the road', then panning for gold. It was... More

The Safari of the Scenes is a comprehensive Four Wheel Drive tour of the Queenstown area. We went in a great circle starting by going up into the Remarkables Mountain Range, which has a gorgeous view of Queenstown, the surrounding snow capped mountains, and Lake Wakatipu. We left the mountains, coming down a road that a mountain goat wouldn't go... More
