There was only two of us in the Land Rover besides our driver, Dominic. He was an excellent driver and guide and it was a great experience. We really enjoyed the driving in the river near Arrowstown and panning for gold. We were surprised to get a cup of tea and a slice of banana loaf which were excellent. The... More

Outstanding road trip. 4X4 vehicles take you into the back country with the views are amazing. There are several stops along the way to take in the views and the guide is great at explaining the history of the trails with regards to gold mining. A stop along the riverbed provided an opportunity to pan for gold.

We experienced an awesome 4WD half day trip with Justin as our delightful, respectful and humorous tour guide. We were lucky to experience it with another very sympathetic couple, Nick and Nancy from Chicago. The sights were exhilarating as we drove through a very rugged road up to view Skippers Canyon. Justin gave us his commentary of the historic gold... More

Dominik was a delightful guide on this beautiful hike. He was prompt in picking us up at our hotel, explained the scenery along the way and answered all our questions. A personable, knowledgeable and well versed guide.

We had a super fun LOTR Wakatipu Basin tour including off-roading and gold panning. It is also really fun how the vehicle plates all have LOTR/Hobbit names. We had such a good time on this one, that when our Milford Sound was cancelled we last-minute booked the Skipper's Canyon half-day. It did a little repeat from the previous, but the... More

Last day in New Zealand after 7 weeks and I was dreading this trip as I hate heights! Almost didn't go but so glad I did. Firstly, the Canyon and the history behind it is incredible and the scenery is spectacular. Secondly, all made so much better and more interesting by Jason, our guide, who was not only a font... Four-wheel drive tour through the gorge following the Shotover River. The scenery is spectacular as is the narrow, winding gravel road which Thomas, our guide, navigated with ease whilst providing a colourful history of this roadway in to an old gold mining town. A four hour trip it is well worth it unless you are of a nervous disposition! Nah,... More
