We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyed all the stops. Our guide Paul was very friendly and his commentaries just made the trip more enjoyable.

Very well organised trip. Our driver was Craig, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The weather was perfect and the Sound picturesque.

Made a booking via Milford Sound Select for their one day tour. Once fully paid we were sent an email to advise look out for southern discoveries however this was not communicated prior to paying.

Was picked up 15 mins ahead of schedule at 0645 however then proceeded to Frankton and sat for 35 minutes waiting for passengers.

The tour felt very rushed and the 2 hour cruise ended up being 90 mins. (1320-1450)
The southern discovery coach was very hot with no curtains like seen on other coaches also on the same day out.

On our return we arrived Frankton at 1900 and sat there for 45 mins waiting for taxis to collect some passengers. The website of Milford Sound Select advises your returns at 7pm which we had plans for 7:30pm and have now missed.

Would not recommend.

Caught the bus to Milford Sound via Te Anau. The driver was only 22 and the youngest bus driver in NZ. Had a great banter. Beautiful landscape. Loved the cheeky Keas. Mirror Lake was stunning too.

Amazing scenery and good local from tour guide. Coach was freezing and unable to be warmed up so had to buy an extra pair of socks and a scarf at our first stop in Te Anau. Slowly warmed up after that. Milford cruise was ok, the captain was very good and knowledgeable. We got to see two seals which was the highlight. Very long day, Suggest bringing some of your own food.

We were booked on Milford Sound Coach to go to the Milford Sounds. We got a phone call the day before we left to say we were being upgraded and will be travelling with Southern Coachline instead. We were not upgraded! We were all put together on the one coach completely full. A lot of us couldn't sit together as couples. My husband and I were squashed on the back seat of the bus in the middle. We decided to fly back because of the uncomfortable ride. I recommend lining up early to get a seat together.

Our booking was HY6JWV March 13th (2 pax). Bus left our hotel earlier than the stipulated time (written in the contract)
We had to incur NZD 500 expense to meet our bus

No replies to our emails.

Milford Sound is amazing but we almost missed it due to above stated service failure.
Had we not taken a taxi we would have lost the entire payment.

Beautiful weather for our Southern Discoveries Coach from Queenstown and Cruise, with Air Milford return flight. Literally not a cloud in the sky with flight over Southern Alps almost as awesome as Cruise on Milford Sound which is truly the eight wonder of the world. Both coach driver and pilot were very informative.

Our coach driver/tour guide was Brad. Brad was really great, very funny and insightful commentary (also gave some really good recommendations for local food and activities). It's a very scenic drive with several opportunities to stop and take photos of the beauty. It's a long day but the scenery at Milford Sound is well worth it. It's also a very comfortable coach, so the long drive didn't bother me too much.
However the cruise included in this ticket is operated by Southern Discoveries which was a little disappointing. The picnic lunch was average - ham and cheese sandwich with no other alternative for dietary requirements unless you order in advance (which I don't remember being given that option). And the commentary on the cruise was few and far between.
