I recommend wearing good shoes that have flex and grip in the soles, some parts are quite steep I wouldn't take small children or elderly, its a nice challenge and you can stop for a hot drink or meal at the top and either walk down or catch the gondola one way.

Nice by pass for the gondola but it is steep and not an easy hike. If you want to do the Ben Lomand track after the Tiki I advice you to not take the Tiki track first. I do have to say we didn't train but I think most people don't and as we didn't we didn't make it all the way to the summit of the Ben Lomand track. …

A ok hike. There are a few spots where you get a view of the surrounding area but for the most part you are in the trees. The bottom third of the track is the most difficult. If you are looking at getting a workout while at the same time saving a few dollars on the gondola, then do the walk. …

Great walk. Not too challenging. Certainly one of the easier ones in Queenstown from what we were told. I’d say the first half is the hardest. One hour up, 45 minutes down. Beautiful views throughout.

There is a gondola to the top, but we decided to hike up. The first section of trail is quite steep, with lots of roots and rocks,maybe the first 35 minutes. Then the trail becomes less rooted, better footing and not so steep. Takes about 75 minutes to make it to the top, and well worth the hike. Views were outstanding.…
