Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Along the lake side past the botanic gardens is the eclectic artists gallery called the Ivy Box.

The work is modern impressionist often with an underlying message. There are a number of artist represented. The work is done via a number of mediums.

It’s clever fun and can be purchased.

The gallery is small but I found the art excellent and worth consideration.

No photography is permitted in the gallery.

Fabulous location on the lake walk Linda was very welcoming. Interesting range of art and artists. Bought a few small but simple pieces. A must for our next trip to Queenstown

This gallery is slightly and delightfully out of the main town right on the waters edge from the Gardens.

The Ivy Box is truly covered with ivy. It has a nice small collection of artwork inside. When we were there two of the artist were on hand to explain their artwork. The walk there was also beautiful along the edge of the lake on Park Street.

Interesting collection of art, lovely chatty down to earth artist on site. Just out of the main town on the lakeside walk along the Frankton arm of Wakatipu.

We saw the outside of this building and loved it, and then went inside and saw some exceptional art, and met one of the local artists. I really like seeing artists do their thing, and it added to the experience. Definitely worth a look!

We were walking from Queenstown to Frankston via the lake walk and happened upon this little gallery. It is a quirky place, the building originally was a butcher shop, then a snowboarder house and now the gallery. The artwork was interesting and diverse and the gallery assistant was very friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit.

This is a fresh little art gallery, in an unusual location that is very accessible to the CBD. There was an interesting mix of artists work on display. Most of it not my taste, but will definitely be for someone else.
