Wayne was an absolutely fantastic tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable about the local area, history and had so many stories to share about each location. He was really funny (dad jokes and all) and easy to talk to, and made sure we had plenty of time to get the best snaps possible, even showing us the best angles to take the perfect shot!
He's a confident driver and we felt completely safe while navigating those precarious mountain roads.
10/10 Would recommend, you get to see so much of the gorgeous landscape and learn a lot along the way.

Despite a change, this tour with Wayne was memorable and a great day out.
They were responsive throughout the period from when lockdown was announced, through to me confirming I was still committed to the revised date of the tour once we got our freedom back.
The day itself from the onset was fabulous, Wayne had many bad jokes, and throughout the tour had some great information about the areas we were travelling through.
The scenic photo stops showcased the natural beauty of our country, made for some great memories.
The friendly relaxed nature of the tour meant you never felt rushed at any of the stops.
The day was overall a fantastic day, with a great host. I highly recommend using Remarkable Scenic Tours who live up to their name.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Wayne. He kept us entertained with "deer" jokes while introducing us to the spectacular scenery and other local icons. My favourite was the view from the top of the remarkables. It was awe inspiring. Will be looking up Wayne on our next visit.

I last visited Queenstown 10 years ago when we hired a rental car to explore the area. This time I was on my own - as a kiwi I didn’t think I needed to spend money on a guided tour, but had a half day to kill and I was so pleased I did the tour - I learned so much about the area. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable

What an awesome guided tour, highly recommend, Wayne interacted with all on board & we absorbed as information about the history as we possibly could. Sadly the short amount of time for the Arrowtown leg means we'll HAVE to return another time to take-in more of the history of that area. (probably very good marketing really) :) Our Sincere thanks

When Wayne, the owner of Remarkable Scenic Tours, pulled into the Azur Lodge at Queenstown to pick me up for a private full day tour of Arrowtown and Wanaka, I told him the tour would be more private than expected, as my travel companion was ill. Wayne kindly offered to switch me to a group tour, which would have been cheaper. But I decided to stay with the tour I had booked, and I'm so glad I did. Wayne is an engaging and witty guy, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the history, culture and topography of the region. The seven-hour tour was packed with interesting and intriguing stops, from the original site of bungee jumping in New Zealand to the fancy golf club that will host the New Zealand Open this week. There was plenty of time to explore the lovely waterfront of Wanaka, and of course take a photo of the famous tree that seems to float in the middle of the lake. After a ride on the spectacular Crown Range Road, we had a beer at the iconic Cardrona Hotel. Wayne made sure to leave enough time for me to explore the historic mining town of Arrowtown. I had feared it might be too touristy, and there were plenty of tourists there. But I found the town fascinating and delightful to wander through, and the natural setting was amazing. Wayne's enthusiasm and passion for the region never flagged, even though he only had one passenger in his car. I enjoyed his tour, and the pleasure of his company.

It was a pleasure to take you out for the day and share with you all the history and great scenic spots we stopped at. If you're looking for a great adventure which isn't just about adrenalins rushes then this is the tour for you.
Knowledgeable guide, comfortable transport, and jaw-dropping photo stops. It is a excellent value for money option for those wanting to explore what else is on offer in the Queenstown Lakes District.

1st thing first, Wayne is an encyclopedia on the wheels.... the tour of arrowtown & wanaka has lots of lots of mesmerising views & historical stories, but the way Wayne executed our trip was the whole point. a very refreshing, lots of relax time around wanaka lake, lookout points on the way everything was so positive. I really enjoyed this trip & will contact remarkable tour whenever i visit queenstown again.

This tour was probably the most fun I have had on a tour in such a long time! The amount of knowledge Wayne showed was great, and the route of the tour was also great. The stops we took, and the places we saw were really good in terms of what you wanted to see. And being able to explore wanaka and arrowtown for the 1 hour each, was a good experience. Would really recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see wanaka and arrowtown, and be taught the knowledge of these towns :) overall 10/10 in my opinion

My partner and I had the best day doing this tour. Our tour guide Wayne was very informative and we learnt alot about every place and stop we visited. He also liked to tell a few jokes along the way !! The bus was very comfy for the 6hr day where we had 9 stops for photo opportunities and had an hour free time at both Wanaka and Arrowtown to explore the towns. Overall it was a great day and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather. Thanks Wayne and Kathy for a fantastic well organised tour.
