This is an amazing trip, and even better during covid times, when there are so few visitors! Quiet with few airplanes/helicopters flying over, and the cruise ships were off in the distance. Our guide, Ben, was AMAZING! He is absolutely the best kayaking guide I have ever had, and I have done a few guided kayak trips in different countries. Ben was very knowledgeable about the area, history, flora, and fauna, and has a great sense of humor. He made sure to check in and chat with all 8 guests so you never felt left out. And of course, Milford Sound is just incredible. Viewing it from sea level in a kayak is so epic. A must-do if you travel to Milford! Kayaking was easy. We were on the water for 3 hours, but never felt tired or like we were working too hard. And I am not very fit!

Bloody great fun, well worth the early start! Jacob was an excellent guide, really easy-going and definitely spins a good yarn or two. It was a small group so it had a bit more of a personal touch, and we even got to make a detour to explore the waterfall. On a side note, maybe bring a bottle or two of insect repellant, the sandflies will eat you alive

Ben was a really good guide and instructor, knew a lot about the surroundings and made the journey safe and fun, you get a dry sack so a good oppotunity to get some photos you wont get on a cruise. We saw seals and a penguin. Side note, I'm 200cm tall and was able to fit so for the fellow tall folk it's a can do 😉😅

100% recommend Roscos. Super authentic experience - even had some Te Reo and Maori legends spun in with some cracker jokes. Most beautiful sights. Awesome guide!! Super lucky to have gotten him on his last say. Have already recommended to loads of people. They give you everything you need, so just turn up on time to the day. If you’re lucky, you’ll see super rare penguins like we did!

Enchanting three hours on calm morning waters. A great operation - effort level was realistically advertised and their gear is well-kept. Our guide Ollie knows the area like the back of his hand, and also has that ability to read people that you find in good guides - he connected with all the different types in our group, looked after the ones who struggled, and entertained with laconic Southern humour from time to time. Rosco’s has been around for many years, and deserves to be around for many more.
