Weather was overcast but the tour was amazing. We caught the bus from opposite our hotel. The bus was clean and spacious and the driver very competent and informative. The views all the way were spectacular and we stopped for morning tea, mirror lake and other photo spectacular spots. We got the chance to see kea parrots. We drove thru... More

The bus journey from Queenstown to Milford Sound with Real Journeys was excellent. Entertaining and knowledgeable driver in a wifi-equipped and sightseeing-optimized bus. We were on the nature cruise which was supposed to be a longer, better value option. It was quite disappointing for two reasons 1. Sub-par boat and 2. Terrible nature guide. There were close to no spots... More

We were picked up by one of real journeys swank buses at the divide, after completing the Routeburn Track walk. We were wet and smelly but that was all ok. We were transported to Milford sound with all our gear, and the guide Carl was very knowledgeable and entertaining with his information about this part of New Zealand. We arrived... More

We didn't really know what to expect from this but everything was excellent. The bus trip is very long from Queenstown and it could have been horrible but the driver and guide (Karl) make it fun and interesting. The boat was great, amazing scenery and staff were fun and helpful. Dinner on board was fantastic. Overall we would highly recommend... More

My wife and I were deciding whether to drive ourselves to Milford Sound for the day or take a tour + cruise. We ended up deciding the tour was the best option to avoid the stress of driving. It was well worth it. Our driver and tour guide for the day, Adrian, was very friendly and helpful. He is a... More

My husband and I were picked up in a taxi from our accommodation and taken to the real journeys office in Queenstown. Once there we got onto our coach with Bruce being our driver!! What a great guy!! Friendly knowledgeable and also very funny. His narration throughout the long drive was very interesting and he seemed keen to share his... More

The bus ride to Milford Sound from Queenstown is quite long, but is totally worth all the wonderful views. The buses have windows on the roof and the bus drivers stop so you can get some great photos of the scenery. Real Journeys is a very organised and professional company and would definitely recommend their Milford Trip.

Incredible trip which will live long in our memories. A professional service from start to finish. Staff were attentive and informative throughout. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm, very comfortable although a word of warning - only a curtain separates the cabins - ear plugs are provided but you may want to bring your own! The cruise itself included...
