The day began early with a pick up from Queenstown. We liked this idea so that my husband had a break from driving and could enjoy the scenery. The driver was great and the tour informative. They stopped at places we probably would have missed...More

We booked on line from Sydney based on our research. We weren’t disappointed. Staff were great communicating the entire booking. We decided not to drive ourselves due to the winter weather and Mitre Peak set us up with a transfer coach team who were amazing....More

We were lucky enough to enjoy our cruise during a sunny, yet cold winter day (not sure we would have had the same great time, had it been raining)... the Mitre boat is relatively small, which is one of the reasons why we picked this...More

Apart from being lucky with the Fiordland weather, Mitre Peak Cruises is the one to go on to see Milford Sound. With a smaller boat you do not feel the cruise has been over sold. The driver and drivers mate were very informative about the...More

We flew on Milford Sound Scenic Flights to catch the cruise. This smaller boat is big enough for this trip. It also appears that the dolphins like it too. They were bow-riding and then they performed off the stern for an amazing show. Check out...More

It's a small boat with only 2 crews onboard, which was great cause it's not too crowded. Free coffee, tea and hot water on board. It went very close to waterfall, you'll get wet if standing on front deck, but able to see seals, penguins...More

We have just come back from a cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises and could not recommend it more highly. Outstanding scenery, very full commentary, many photo opportunities and they even organised dolphins to swim alongside the boat! Coffee and tea very welcome and the Bowen...More

I flew from Wanaka and return with Southern Alps Air to Milford Sound, did the 12.20 cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises. Amazing trip and only took four hours for those short on time. The boat was great, small, clean, friendly and informative crew. The scenery...More

If been to Milford twice now with different cruise boats and would say over all that the smaller boats are better! They can get right up under the waterfalls and also get closer to any wildlife you might be lucky enough to see. Great experience...More
