We didn't need much help, because the place was sufficiently well laid-out for us to source all the info we needed.

A relatively small Tourist Information Centre but it covers a all aspects of local attractions. It also houses the Invercargill Museum which is well worth spending sometime in. It also has a Tuatara breeding program. ( rare NZ reptile )

Located at the Museum, this information centre has all you will need for your stay in Invercargill as well as for the next leg of your journey. Picked up local lown maps and a map of the Southern Scenic route.

We found what we needed ourselves with little help from the staff here. Maybe someone having a bad day! The museum attached was great though!

We dropped into the information centre and was very pleasantly surprised by the great service and information provided by the staff. The addition of the Museum and Cafe was the best bonus.
