It's a landmark and it's story is quite a good one. Was opposite out motel so couldn't miss it. Also right next to Queen's Park

Who would know that this is a bricked facade of a boring water tube? Beautiful by night and perfectly situated next to Queen's Gardens to see both at one time.

Interesting reminder of the past.
Parking adjacent, but you are not able to enter the building.
It is lit up at night and can be seen from the surrounding streets

Stopped while out walking to have a quick look
It's a good photo stop to see the refurbished water tower from the outside

Visited after dark. Nice looking building with a little information. You can see it from all around town.

Its a bit of a landmark in Invercargill, can be seen from a lot of parts of the city. There is free parking at Doon St. A nice bit of architecture which can provide good photo opportunities.

A lovely old tower that was just across from our TowerLodge motel. We ast it on several occasions giving us a chance to examine the historic architechture.

We had heard about this old water tower and did a very brief stop to see it. It appears in good condition - decorative brick mostly. We enjoyed seeing it but didn't stay long.

Needed to go see this as heard a lot about it..
An amazing feat of engineering back in the day and still standing is testimony to that..
Lay on the grass and look up it’s well worth it...
