Are you looking for a beautiful place to take your family for a holiday? Well you're in luck. Omaui is the perfect place for doing so. At Omaui you can do many different things like going to the Rocky Shore, going to the beach or even walking up Omaui reserve walk. Those are the things I did at Omaui camp.
At Rocky Shore you can do different things like looking at all the shipwrecks, looking for crabs or even just looking for cool stones.
Even though the weather was torrential, we still had a great time exploring at Rocky Shore.
At the beach you could do many different things like playing beach games, relaxing on the beach with your friends or even just having a good old game of rugby with our mates. Those are the things that you might want to do at the beach.
The Omaui reserve walk is enjoyable too because you can observe the surroundings and learn names of different types of plants.
Fun Fact; you can see Stewart Island in the distance at the top of the walking track.
That's why you should go check out Omaui with your family and friends.

Omaui YMCA school camp review by Isaac (11)
Do you think that any place that doesn't have an arcade is boring? If you do then I have news for you!
Because Omaui camp has plenty of fun things to do. Like maybe: playing games at the beach, rocky shore exploration, and surfing just to name a few. My favourite part when I went was when we went to this hut (Clark Road Beach Cottage) whose owner had collected a ton of cool stuff from the beach.
Then there's the accommodation. The food was great, the sleeping arrangement was great, and even the camp activities were great. There was a zipline, a campfire, and this thing called the bridge of doom which was really just two metal wires which went across a small bog. We also got to listen to a guy called Loyd Ester talk about the history of the area. Altogether I'd give Omaui an 8/10 for the fun I had.`

REVIEW ON OMAUI CAMP YMCA
3 days ago I travelled to Omaui camp for a school camp.
We went on Wednesday and left on Friday. In the short time we were there I encountered many fabulous things. The cabins were amazing but the other boys in it with me were the exact opposite of quiet.
But other than that I enjoyed the area and the activities they had to offer.
I recommend going down to the rocky shore to study. Its filled with wildlife and history.
I found around 30+ crabs under the rocks. We looked at the shipwrecks .
It is amazing how a historic a little town that I thought would be boring until I found this one. If you happen to be in Omaui camp talk to lloyd Ester he knows so much of what's happened, he told us about why people came to NZ and the whalers and the native life. Back to the cabins and the food .
It was amazing. The first night we had pasta and the second night we had burgers. I rate it a 4. stars because nothings perfect
There are 2 bathrooms and in each there's around 4 showers
and 2-4 toilets.
Outside there was a rock wall, archery, bike track, Omaui walk reserve, and a flying fox.
I found all of these activities fun. On the reserve walk we saw lots of native birds and bushes. On the way down we played a game where we looked for lancewoods. It was easier lower to the ground.
I recommend Omaui to people who are looking for adventure.
I rate Omaui 4.5 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐

I attended a Women in Wilderness course with Adventure Southland. It's something I would recommend to anyone looking to step outside of their comfort zone.
Adventure Southland has very experienced and professional staff and they go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having fun and learning a lot. It's clear to see they are passionate about what they do too.
If you want to participate in anything outdoors-related, then I recommend Adventure Southland.

Those three words are the definition of the Adventure Southland staff. These people are tops at what they do!
I was fortunate enough to be a test dummy for ultimate archery and the only word to explain the whole experience is epic.
Dont be afraid, rise to the challenge! You wont regret it!
Your in for a quality day out, filled with adrenaline, laughter, banter, and the most epic crew.
TOP NOTCH TEAM, KEEP IT UP!
