Lovely grounds and buildings to walk around and enjoy the uni feel. A GREAT place to get a coffee and a donut at the Hussey & Laredo coffee caravan.

The University of Otago is New Zealand's oldest university, founded in the 1860's. The beautiful bluestone architecture of the Clock Tower is typical of the time period and it is a striking feature of the campus. The grounds are shady and inviting, with a crystal clear stream running through it. We even saw trout and an eel in the stream! What a gorgeous campus.

We visted the University of Otago in summer, so there were no students. It is a picturesque campus, said to be the NZ equivilent of Oxford. It it the oldest University in NZ. Otago has an active student culture. It is ratred acadxemically as one of News Zealand's top universities. THe Water of Leith flows thrrough the cxampus.
