Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came down here for breakfast and to have a look around. The markets are adjacent to the magnificent old railway station building. There was a wide variety of food and goods for sale-my wife enjoyed the blueberries she purchased. The crepes we had for breakfast were a bit odd, filling was mainly coleslaw, but I guess you can't expect fine dining from a market stall.

The Farmers Market is next to the railway station in Dunedin (a must see). There is a variety of home grown and homemade goods for sale as well as food and coffee available. Worth a visit, if only to see all the characters at the market!

Excellent farmer's market. Had the dumplings and a bacon buttie. Both were great. The fresh produce and the meat such as Havoc Pork looked fantastic. I'm not in town long enough to buy any but it was certainly tempting.

Highly recommended if you're in Dunedin over the weekend (opened every Saturday from 8-12:30 and once the country lock down is lifted). Located right beside the iconic Railway station you can pick fresh fruit, veg, meat and flowers. We got some cheap strawberries, blueberries and apples. The real find was the giant salmon we purchased for only $12. Chinese woman before us was trying to barter by offering $10...didn't realize southeast Asia rules of trade don't apply in NZ. My wife got ingredients like onion and garlic to cook the salmon back at our hostel. **there is a truck that sells good souvenirs. Be sure to get your free magnet.

Love this place. The fresh and fruit is reasonably priced and is so much better than the stuff in the supermarket. Lots of organic stuff available. Good choice of food vendors of all varieties. Seek out Beano’s lamingtons- they are divine.

Wandered around the market, which is very much a farmer's market, I imagine it'd be amazing for locals shopping at the weekend. For a tourist, it's still great, I had a delicious bagel, really good, and great coffee. Would've loved to take some of the food home, but not sure it would have made the trip very well.

Always go Saturday when I visit Dunedin. Bacon butties, pies, fruit and veg and lots of other nice things. The new favourite is the Saj cooked by a guy from Syria and these are delicious.
