Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came down here for breakfast and to have a look around. The markets are adjacent to the magnificent old railway station building. There was a wide variety of food and goods for sale-my wife enjoyed the blueberries she purchased. The crepes we had for breakfast were a bit odd, filling was mainly coleslaw, but I guess you can't expect fine dining from a market stall.

I went with my brother and nephew as they were showing me Dunedin as I never been there before. It was great market as it was easy to walk around with a pram and we went around the whole way because I got to see the whole things. There was a lot of different stalls and we got some flowers. I got to try my first cheese rolls and it was very good. I would go again and maybe try more food.

Always go Saturday when I visit Dunedin. Bacon butties, pies, fruit and veg and lots of other nice things. The new favourite is the Saj cooked by a guy from Syria and these are delicious.

Excellent farmer's market. Had the dumplings and a bacon buttie. Both were great. The fresh produce and the meat such as Havoc Pork looked fantastic. I'm not in town long enough to buy any but it was certainly tempting.

What else do you do on a Saturday morning ...of course you make your way to the Farmers Market...first stop Pheasant Bakery for a flat white and a Chai Latte and one of their famous Pain au chocolate ...usually hot ...then it's shopping time ....by the time you leave your market basket is over flowing with all sorts of yummy goodies to last the week ....This place is a must ...it's an addiction. For locals and a must for tourists ....set along side the famous railway station ...the setting is great...I challenge you not to visit here while your in Dunedin ....A MUST

A stock standard morning market, coffee, bacon sandwiches, fruit, sweet treats, meat, cheese and other random food items. Long queues for the popular items, very few places to sit within the market; however, you can venture out into the grass outside Cobb and co to sit and eat or drink.

A favourite place for my family and I to get the freshes local produce and products. Love the real relaxed environment that you can do your shopping in the midst of buskers. Top stalls/stores to me is Edmonds fish (seafood), Ettrick Gardens (Veg&Fruits), Bacon Buttie&Bagels shop, The Tart Tin (baking). Love the filled donuts for TTT. Give the farmers market a go and support local!!!

We went to this market twice before Christmas during our last trip to Dunedin. What a variety you can get there. You can find not only delicious veggies and fruit but also meat, fish, honey, chocolate (and fantastic coco nibs!), cheeses and even sea weeds. Organic or non organic. Friendly people. Great location for car parking. My advice is the earlier the better! By 8.30am, some stuff was already sold out. If you're happy to take a bus to the Octagon (the city centre), it's within a walking distance but bear in mind you might end up carrying a heavy carrier bag at the end of your shopping. If you enjoy "Annabel Langbein" type of way of cookery life, this is the place to visit. Highly recommended.

Fresh fish, plenty of amazing food options and awesome deals on apples, pears, lettuce, and other veg. Best value is the dumplings, though the best chocolate croissant I've ever eaten was from the bakery in the station here as well!
