There really is something a bit special about how owner/operator Mark operates his tours of Dunedin's best sights, including of course Larnach Castle. The combination of exellent research to really unearth the best historical anecdotes, all delivered with humour and his atypical Southern Man charm,...More

Thanks for the outstanding review. Much appreciated. I hope you enjoyed the rugby and our fantastic stadium afterwards - afterall that's why you were here in the first place! Kindest regards Mark

We booked this tour independently ,after a recommendation from family, while on a NZ cruise. The tour, as stated in the info, covers very interesting parts of Dunedin itself, including a visit to the cemetery. The highlight though was the visit to Larnarch Castle, history,...More

I almost skipped visiting Larnach Castle and booking this tour--I'm so glad I didn't. It was one of the, if not the, absolute highlights of my visit to Dunedin, all thanks to the wonderful guide. It was forecast to be a rainy day and I...More

Cruise ship stop in Dunners (Dunedin). We had been to Dunedin many times but we're very keen to spend more time at the Castle but did not want to see Otago Peninsula or pay hundreds on a car/cab so chose the Castle Cruiser. Started out...More

Hi Vic, Thanks for the candid review. A bit of a mixed bag coupled with couple of sucker punches in there. Backhanded compliments come to mind. I will take your "experienced" advice on board and when I finally hit the big 5-0 perhaps apply it....More

The tour of larnach castle and the city of Dunedin was pretty interesting, particularly at the castle. The tour seemed very slow at times, with some unnecessary stops in locations at the city (such as a graveyard which was mildly interesting, and the university) that...More

Hi Kyle, Thank you for your review. Just to outline for others reading your review, the stops that you have suggested be cut from the tour and why they are included - the reason we stop at the grave yard is to view the Tomb...More
