We visited today and only had time to check out the photography exhibition and the Polynesian cultures section - they were both fantastic and we will be back to see the rest!

The Otago Museum has a very wide collection, nicely ordered per floor and room. Maybe the presentation is quite old fashioned but it can most certainly keep one's attention.

Have been to the museum a few times and find it enjoyable with every walk through. The collections are put together logically and updated regularly. Plenty of areas that are interactive and fun, geared especially toward kids. A must-see for anyone spending time in Dunedin.
