Worth your time, esp. the Maori exhibit, they also have an exhibit on the Southern land and people we found to be of great interest.

Don't miss the butterfly sanctuary in the museum, it's a highlight of New Zealand (let alone the museum). Also really enjoyed checking out the 'Animal Attic'.

Well worth spending an hour or two exploring the galleries which are spacious and well laid out. Also good café and gift shop on site.

Very nice intro to NZ history and natural Environment. Especially liked the Hillary exhibit. A good gift shop and cafe.

This Museum Is absolutely Amazing.It has several floors of collections of Maori heritage,and fine displays of NZ articles,and items.You will need at least 2hrs to see everything,and that's too quick,IMO. Awesummm.
