Yes it’s a very steep hill and while all chose to walk up - I drove and it was all pretty simple. Nice views and ticked the box. Enjoy……

A good walk up a road. Looks easy but it's deceptive. Worth the time to do. You get to say you walked the steepest street in the world!!!

A Very steep street but not much to see here. I would not want to have traveled far to see it. Had to go and see it as we were in the area

Not only is it worth ticking this must do off your list, it’s well worth doing. It doesn’t take long and has some really pretty views of Dunedin (weather permitting).

The locals sneered at our enthusiasm to visit Baldwin Street, stating that there are many steep streets in Dunedin. But there is something significant about walking up THE steepest street in the WORLD. Although it lost its title in 2019 to a challenger in North Wales, it regained its status from the Guinness Book of Records in April 2020. Steep it is and definitely worth a visit! We were the only 2 people there at the time and enjoyed meandering to the top where there is a mural, water drinking fountain and bench (in desperate need of repainting).

Lost the name of steepest street for a short time. Take the walk up and even roll a jaffa down, which is something that used to happen in Dunedin, but due to chocolate factory closing it has not happened for the last 4-5 years. Check out Chingford park 2 mins up the road.

You need to tick this one off your list! Although reluctant even Granny made it to the top! Watch out for road rage drivers though!

You just gotta do this at least once in your life. Last time, we ran up it. Took three days to recover haha. This time, we challenged the rental car to climb the mountain. Just a five minute trip all up including the silly photo on the angle, but where else in the world can you go up the world's steepest street? (clue: no where else!)

At times on the ride up it feels as if our car was going to flip - it does not look as steep as it feels and the views looking down from the top might scare you but in a good way

Fun to drive, quite a good spot to make a few nice pic or Michel Jackson walk. If road wet, don’t drive on top
