Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful way to spend lots of time with the kids. Treasure hunt fun, brought out my inner Sherlock Holmes.

Brilliant location for kids to run around. 3 hours is not quite enough. Treasure hunt is a lot of fun and history of island interesting for all.

This is a wonderful place to take visitors too. The walk around the Island is well maintained and views are spectacular. Very interested to visit the restored buildings and the little church. The new Island Keeper is very enthusiastic and welcoming. Great to have information sheets available. Easy to get to the Island now that Port to Port are running a shuttle service.

A hidden gem that is well worth the visit. A short ferry ride so as not to get seasick, suitable for the weakest of constitutions. On arrival, you're met with nothing but peace and tranquility.

Came to quarantine island for their fundraiser barn dance, but ended up spending the night practicing my photography skills instead. Such a beautiful island, with great upkeep and great volunteers, the place needs the volunteers so I recommend people join in the barn dance, which was great fun for those who got involved, and great fun for those who wanted to explore and socialize!

Hard to get there but do if you can (from Back Beach), the restoration of the old hostel is fantastic, and what a wonderful place in the middle of the harbour, wrecked ship and all. Brings the trials of the european settlers to life.

I had never been here before and it was such an interesting place. It has so much history. The day we went out there was a talk on. The boat rides were fun. The one on the way back was rocky as the wind had come up on the harbour.
