Escape Artists Christchurch is the first escape room in Christchurch. Step inside one of our exceptionally themed rooms and work your way through a series of challenging, fun puzzles, codes and riddles to 'escape' You have 60 Minutes to solve the theme of the room by using problem your best communication, problem solving, logical mind! We also welcome larger groups and families.

We were in Christchurch for a week and did three escape rooms during that time. Room 238, Pirates Bounty and Dark Wizard, with Dark Wizard being my favourite of the three. I like the fact the price discount for more players. Friendly staff. We will be back to do the other rooms and would recommend to others.

Visited with friends for a birthday, very good escape room - we did the pirate-themed room. Good test of logical thinking!

Did the FBI room (catch me if you can) with my husband - we had a great time. We have found other escape rooms difficult to do with just the two of us, but this one was perfect for just two people. Lots of interesting and cleaver puzzles and some great twists. Finished with just over 10mins to spare with only two small hints. I would suggest this room is better for smaller groups, it might not be as exciting with too many people in the room.

Fortunate enough to have attended the Enchanted Academy last night. Our session was run by Holly, who appeared to be the life of the party. Her professional but light hearted relationship with Isaac was the icing on the top of the whole experience. We’re a bit sad we’ve seen all the games at Escape Artists now, but I’m sure we’ll be back- came for the Escape, stayed for the customer service.

This is the third one I have done and again it didn't disappoint!! Was great fun awesome test of different thinking and a good challenge to get the answer in one hour!! We were 3 mins over but it wasn't easy!! 😊

Price was reasonable at about $20 per person. We did the Mysterious Cabin room which looked simple but ended up being challenging. What I liked about the room here was that every clue, although difficult, were possible to do without hints (there have been some escape rooms with clues that can only be solved with luck).

My partner and I had a great evening. We did the cabin in the woods. It is just the right amount of difficult, not to hard that you feel stupid but not too easy. Challenging and great fun. Really looking forward to trying the other rooms. Great for couples or a small group of friends. Also thinking of suggesting that we do a work event there as would be great for team building. Only regret is that we have only just heard about it. Want to go straight back and do the other rooms. Good value for money too.

Great escape room fun with the family although we did need to ask for a few clues ! It was challenging and got us all working together.

Great fun...good that you get unlimited hints by asking...otherwise we still might be there. My 3 grandsons had a ball. Recommend it

What is the maximum number of people allowed in a room at a time?

Hi there, we recommend maximum 6 per room, sometimes teams will have 7 which works most of the time. We have 4 rooms open now so we can have up to 24 ish people per slot.

Hi there, the premises definitely is. The missile room is 100% accessible. The cabin room can be but requires a little work around on your part (very happy to explain over the phone if you wanted to call me) and the prison currently is not as it's in a seperate building up some stairs, but the new room we are designing at the moment will also acessible as it's in our main building. Bathrooms are also. I hope that helps?
