Very pleasant - lots of cafes and little shops. Still undergoing rebuilding work but has good potential. Sunday night - very 'dead' - not much open and a bit unpleasant. During the day iti is quite vibrant.

On our holiday, we had to have a look at New Regent street as when we were engaged many moons ago, I bought our engagement ring from a jeweller in the street. Sadly the shop is no longer there but what is there is nicely...More

Has a variety of shops, eateries, and bars. Makes for a picturesque little walk. Very different than the rest of the more modern Christchurch. Watch out for the tram.

A lively part of town on a cool spring day. Plenty of eateries open and the tram stop midway. Buildings are mainly beautifully restored.

Wander thru with overseas visitors, seeing it thru their eyes. It really is cute and special in our hearts. The tram trundling thru making it extra fun, the gorilla on the seat outside the gelato shop all add to character.

Ice creams were the thing although in the middle of winter. Felt the shop keepers could have been more helpful in the other shops.

I like visiting this street as there are some good restaurants & bars either on the street or very close. Francesca, 27 Steps and The Institution being a few. Great to sit outside and watch the trams go past.
