Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The clock tower is on Victoria and Salisbury Street junction. Victoria St is a very popular dining street, so if you are around you'll definitely see the tower!

We visited Christchurch in mid-March of 2020 and the Victoria Street Clock Tower is still in disrepair from their most recent earthquake. I'm sure it is beautiful, but is a poignant reminder of their earthquake history.

Visited on Tuesday 22nd May. We got to see the Clock Tower as we were going into Christchurch on the bus and again on the return journey. Good to see it survived the earthquake.

Great that the tower survived the quake, but personally not worth to loop around for. When around, do pass by.

It's not perfect at the moment, but it seems it's going to be well restored.

It has been relocated on at least a couple of times. Worth looking at but not on its own - have many other things planned as well

A must see on any sightseeing trip around Christchurch. A wonderful Clock Tower and a real tribute to the team of restorers.

It's a clock tower on a traffic island. What can I say! It does appear to be well built and obviously historic and may be worth a closer inspection.

I was amazed to find this clock tower still standing when so much constructed in the same era was damaged.
It is a lovely tribute to the Victorian era, beautifully constructed.

This lovely old tower is a monument to Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, originally placed on a stone base at the intersection of Manchester Street, Lichfield Streets and High Streets and moved here in 1930. Despite restoration and earthquake strengthening worth $295,000 paid for by local businesses in 1978, the 2010 earthquake caused damage which cost $700,000 to repair. It's all done now and looking great. Queen Victoria would be proud.
