This is an interesting area with the mix of pop up and permanent shops. The area has been made alive and the sculptures are clever and amusing. A tribute to the people of Christchurch

Good little spots for shopping but I enjoyed some of the food that was available there more than anything else. The tram goes past there so it's a great stop off if you want a snack or perhaps feel like a bit of retail therapy.

You can see new, old, renovating and broken buildings and flat land at once. Workers are working earnest to recover damages. Worth watch.

There is still a lot of construction going on in the city centre of Christchurch. The RE:Start Mall at Cashel Street is a very creative way to restart normal life despite the restoration.

All the goodies here packed into a quirky and innovative shopping area. Check out the central art work signage.

I am not sure how this differs in principle to Re:START but it is a great show of initiative to have shops inside shipping containers, much quicker than a rebuild.

After the 2011 earthquake, most of the city of. Heist hurch was damaged. In order to provide some retail outlets, shipping containers were moved next to or on top of one another to provide secure and safe structures for retailers to move in to. There...More
