Apart from the containers used as shops, what we saw was resilience on display, in the face of adversity. This is Christchurch getting back on its feet. Very humbling as this is the largest western democracy hit in such devastating effect.

Great atmosphere. Lots of food stalls and great shopping. We had a Fritz's weiner and it was very tasty. Get the sauerkraut! Ballantynes is expensive but has a nice atmosphere and lots t look at.
