A wonderful way to spend an hour in Christchurch, strolling through the park, gardens and rebuilding city.

Nice walk along the banks of the river. Very quiet & calm, lots of grassy areas with benches for sitting & watching the river go by.

We were walking along the river where there are steps down to the water. The ducks and huge fish stay close looking for food. What also lurks under the steps are lots of river eels. A couple are quite large. I thought of buying sardines...More

Relaxing and enjoyable ride down the river with beautiful scenery along the Avon river :) So close with nature, you get to see the lovely putakitaki too ;)

A great relaxing ride with fantastic views we are so lucky to have such beauty in our own backyard. Also, a lovely place to buy food and sit and relax looking over the Avon river.

You can walk along ,cross bridges or take a ride on a gondola. It is the heart of Christchurch . The banks offer a tranquil place to sit or each a sandwich.

The city has done a nice job arranging seating and views along the river. You can ride on the river, also, in a punt. It’s quite clean, runs along briskly and it’s fun to watch the ducks.
