The most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. Make sure you take the caterpillar train around the gardens as you’ll see it all and then take a leisurely stroll around the area. Beautiful well maintained gardens with so many different species donated by many countries. By...More

Spent an hour or so here and it was a lovely oasis in the city. There's a cafe for lunch and some nice walks

The Botanic Gardens in Christchurch are a must see, not overly large but varied and interesting with a lovely cafe and gift shop rebuilt after the 2011 earthquake. Go and enjoy it!

Unfortunately we only had an hour to explore these gardens. The small amount we saw was lovely. Definitely a place to while a way a couple of hours.

Wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon. Take a leisurely stroll through the grounds and make sure you see the rose gardens and conservatory. Also check out the gift shop and restaurant.

Loved wandering through the gardens. A variety of flowers still blooming and the coolest trees! You could stroll for hours or take a tour. We just walked and didn’t even see everything.

A beautiful place to go for a walk. Especially Sunday morning catch ups. The cafe in the centre of the gardens is beautiful and reasonably priced. Perfect for a picnic on a warm summer evening too. You’ll easily find a nice spot away from others.

The Botanic gardens are just one part of the park which is great to walk or cycle through, mind the golf course though. The actual gardens have everything to make them a fascinating place to visit. The basics of plenty of clean toilets, a couple...More

More than likely there will be begonias is the greenhouse in flower. There could be several other plants in bloom depending on what the gardeners have been planting in some of the rotational beds.
