We were shown around by interesting and knowledgeable volunteers. As a family we enjoyed competing with one another in the interactive displays. The cafe was perfect for refreshments before we started.

This is a great, free outing for all ages. The history of planes in NZ and abroad is a treat. It covers not only the world wars, but beyond. The German hut is fun, and will be a treat for children.

This is a facinating, interesting and informative educational museum. The collection of old aircraft and the history of NZ's airforce is well worth spending at least 2-3 hours wondering around. The volunteers are extremely engaging with a wealth of knowledge.

Wonderful place to visit with children. Very friendly and helpful volunteers/staff. Great displays and exhibits. The cafe is expensive especially when you have kids wanting food as soon as they see it. Lots of parking and easy access. A must to visit!!!

A great collection of aircraft and stories of NZ history. And free! Well worth a visit and a drive around the area where the airfield in now a suburb and the control tower from the airfield is still there.
