This was a well worth visit with wealth of information and great experience. The blizzard simulation was well worth it just as the ride in the arctic vehicle. Highly recommended.

Some great stuff in here and very interesting but not enough going on for the price. They say its in line with all attractions....but its not, Christchurch doesn't have that many and the museum at Canterbury is free! The issue is not enough to entertain...More
Our bus driver left two cruise passengers at this suburban Christchurch site, 80 km from our Princess cruise ship. They had little chance of getting back before it sailed. He closed the bus door and drove away. He ignored other passengers who plead that we...More
Interesting information about Antarctica and exploration. Simulated blizzard and cold room give insight into conditions in the frozen continent. Blue penguins are cute and watcing them being fed is hilarious with Squirt the naughty penguin pushing others into the pond to steal fish. 4D movie...More

We didn't really know what to expect and were very happy with the Centre. We learned a lot about the expeditions in the Antarctic -- most of which start from here. Including almost all of the expeditions from the US. A fun stop -- and...More
On a rainy day in Christchurch, we ventured out to the International Antarctic Centre, not sure what to expect. To our amazement, we spent several hours here experiencing a Hagglund off-road vehicle ride, seeing Little Blue Penguins, rugging up to face a simulated Antarctic storm...More
