Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here to window shop and try out some of the cafes while staying in town. Very handy location with lots of shops. Easy to access transport.

Went into town this week to see what progress is being made with the rebuild in the centre of Christchurch. Everything seems to be very slow moving to repair all the earthquake damage.
It was nice to see a revamped "The Crossing" open again. There are still a lot of shops not finished yet and the ones already opened are very quiet, but things should pick up.
They have made a nice job of The Crossing and we look forward to seeing it with more people going through.

I think the recent opening of this city centre shopping Mall is really exciting for Christchurch as it's proof positive that we're making a recovery from the horrors of the earthquakes. It's a fresh airy spaces with mostly fashion chain shopping from the fast fashion cheap end up to mid range designer stuff with the odd specialty shop thrown in. There's H+M - brand new to ChCh, as well as Trenery, Country Road, Seed, Ruby, Ivy Blue - that sort of thing. Handily for tourists and central city workers, there'a also a very well stocked supermarket on the Hereford St frontage right opposite the Bus Exchange.
Things are looking up!
