Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic. Took Dad (a British bike fan) but he loved it. Wheelchair accessible and they bent over backwards for Dad to enjoy his time there - which he did. Family with kids there at the same time looked like they enjoyed it too. Due to get a flight simulator soon also...

Deserves better then average to be honest 20 minutes and you have pretty much done it all. Have owned and ridden bikes in the 70s and 80s a bit of a nostalgia trip. Lots of bikes from around that era. If you know who Roger Freeth is or rode bikes 40 years ago worth going if you don't may not be for you.

I was in town on a family holiday when I got a spare hour. So I took the opportunity to have a look at some old bikes.
Not a big place but plenty of bikes squeezed in and some were on loan ; from other collectors; which is pretty cool.
Every bike has a small plaque telling you about the bike and it’s history. I saw bikes I’ve owned or ridden and the memories came flooding back.
Some highlights for me where: Yamaha RD350, Suzuki 1100 Katana, 500cc rotary, GT 380 & 550.
All bikes are beautifully presented. There are films of races projected onto the walls to give a sense of the time when these machines ruled road and track.
A limited supply of souvenirs are available and barista made coffee. Off street parking with a ‘Motorcycles Only’ parking space.
Allow at least an hour. If you’re with mates, allow two hours. Once the memories come back the stories will flow.

Great collection of Japanese motorcycles of all flavours and applications. Free off street parking. Being a gallery as opposed to a museum the bikes on display change from time to time. Friendly staff...this is the sort of place you could spend 20 minutes or several hours. Coffee on offer and range of memorabilia for sale.

There are hundreds of museums dedicated to British and European bikes, but this is the only one I know of dedicated purely to Japanese bikes. A small collection of beautifully cared for and restored bikes, many with a racing pedigree. You'll no doubt find your first "big bike" amongst this collection, as I did when I discovered to my joy a Suzuki GT380.

Wonderful collection of bikes and lots of cool motorcycle magazines to flip through. We spent an hour or so hanging out, it was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon

I had limited time but got 20 minutes to have a look around, the gallery isn't very big but what it lacks in size it makes up for in a huge range of bikes. :) loved seeing some of the bikes I use to ride back in the 90's. Will worth the time & money to go if you are even a little bit interested in motorbikes. Bike are a liitle close together making it a little hard to get good photos. The stuff member was Ok but was a bit stand off ish.

Definitely worth a visit if you have an hour or so to spare. I visited on a Sunday morning and had the place to myself. Some interesting stories displayed about NZ's motorcycling history too.

It was nice to see some Japanese bikes from my teenage years.
I did think the $15.00 entry fee was too steep for such a small display.
Bikes were too close together so you could not get to walk around them or down the side to look.
In saying that the bikes were very nicely displayed and worth while if you wanted to look at any bike/bikes in particular.

This place is seriously cool, talk about reliving your past if you're anything like me (slightly north of 50), great examples of the best Japenese bikes you will find. The staff were great and real enthusiasts. This place will takes off when more people here about it, well worth a visit.
