This park was recommended to me by a local lady. I like short walking trails and this park has them in spades. It is a beautiful spot and I would love to come here for a picnic in Summer. The dog (off lead) section is...More

It was a pleasant walk on a cold day. Allow 30 - 45 minutes for the circular walk that goes from the carpark to above the rock face, and to stop and read the interesting snippets of history. Most of the track is well formed...More

A delightful find. This quarry converted to a park has historical signage, easy walk tracks, and from the top the views of the Southern Alps are spectacular. Highly recommended. Just watch out for the doggie poo. Owners need to clean up after their mutts.

I read on the website that there were international gardens to walk through, but when I got there, it was just empty paddocks with not much on it. I was not particularly impressed at all.

Although the promised "sister city" garden complex has't eventuated due to the EQs, the extensive plantings of cherry trees are well worth a visit in September. Good picnic facilities, bookable by groups and plenty of space for dogs & runners. I always enjoy the short...More

Visiting Christchurch for a few days and thought some sunshine and a walk might help shake the jet lag. Exceeded expectations: stunning views of the mountains from the Rim Walk, really friendly fellow walkers and delicious lunch from Coffee Vice airstream type trailer. Lattes, pop,...More

Not a bad place for a picnic and a wander. Not really a tourist spot really but nice enough on a warm day.

Great place to walk your dog (s). We often go with my daughter (3yrs old) and our super energetic dog. There are many different gardens for the different sister cities. If you are into pokemon go it is a popular spot, we often see phone...More
