CodeBreakers is a live 60-minute adventure! Choose from one of our various themes: find the hidden treasure in the Lost Hut of Antarctica, be a real life James Bond in Operation Mindfall, steal the Mona Lisa in Art Heist, fix a suspicious super-computer in Into The Dark, or stop a maniacal time traveller in the Misadventures of Max Magnus. You and your team will have 60 minutes to uncover clues, crack codes, solve puzzles and complete your mission. Our adventures are great for families, friends, couples, team building, and really anyone looking for something new and different.

My friends and I are escape room fanatics and recently completed Time Machine which was the last one left for us to do at Code Breakers. Honestly, we didn’t fizz like we normally do afterwards because we were given hints too quickly. The last puzzle we were on for all of two minutes and we got the hint that ended the game, and we had over ten minutes to spare. We were the last session of the day and kind of felt like the game master just wanted us out to go home. The puzzles were challenging and the theme of the room was good. Have loved every other experience we’ve had there and hope that when new rooms come out we’ll leave feeling the buzz again.

We did the "Into the dark" room as a family and it was amazing! The room was engaging, immersive and challenging without being frustrating. We loved doing it in the dark - it added a fresh spin having to feel our way around the room and yell out what we found to our team. The clues were original and fun and the staff were friendly and flexible. Highly recommended!

Great Team Building afternoon, managed to complete within the hour. 6 of us attempted the time machine room. Extremely fun thing to do, highly recommended.

We took my son and his friends to Codebreakers for his birthday. The boys absolutely loved it and all want to go back for more! Great place, very friendly and helpful staff.

I have done a few escape rooms around NZ but this was my first one in Christchurch and it was awesome! We did the Antarctic room and it perfect for 4 of us to do, we all had an awesome time. The whole place is well set up and looks really cool, the staff were all nice. Highly recommend

Have now been to codebreakers twice. Once as a single team and once competing against another team. Rooms are challenging but achieveable and you come out feeling proud of yourself. Staff are awesome and super friendly.

Although this was not my first time at Codebreakers, this was our first time ever doing a VR escape room and it was epic. We played a few of the different games, including Alice which for a fantasy lover was awesome. It's so much fun - it's really like being there!
It took a while to adjust because it's so immersive, but once I got the hang of it I'd say it rates as highly as a top tier physical escape room due to the fact the scenarios can be so abstract. I'm looking forward to going back and playing more of the VR rooms.

An incredible experience. Hilary our host was so lovely and left us wanting to do more and more. We came back and did 3 rooms over 2 days we loved it so much!
The rooms have cool storylines all with great flow, some may perceive this as “easy” but I would disagree as you still need to work out the puzzle and solve clues.
A great team who clearly love what they do and is reflected in their rooms!

We did the in the dark Escape room in a group of 3 and it was so much fun! Were quite experienced with escape rooms and this is 10/10 one of our favourites so far, the whole room was amazing and had such a great plot and all the puzzles were so much fun!! I would definitely recommend with friends or family, such a great room if you've done 100s of rooms before or even if it's your first one it will amaze you!
