CodeBreakers is a live 60-minute adventure! Choose from one of our various themes: find the hidden treasure in the Lost Hut of Antarctica, be a real life James Bond in Operation Mindfall, steal the Mona Lisa in Art Heist, fix a suspicious super-computer in Into The Dark, or stop a maniacal time traveller in the Misadventures of Max Magnus. You and your team will have 60 minutes to uncover clues, crack codes, solve puzzles and complete your mission. Our adventures are great for families, friends, couples, team building, and really anyone looking for something new and different.

Neither of us had done one before so didn't know what to expect but we had a blast and would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. Would also love to do one as a work team building exercise. The rooms were really well-designed with a mix of sequential and non-sequential puzzles, and they were challenging but solvable. This was not our first visit. We did the Time Machine this time. It was a really good escape room because we could work on several different puzzles at the same time, meaning none of us were standing around waiting for others to finish a puzzle.

Spur of the moment and booked the only room available - Into The Dark.
We had not researched it at all, but only read the description (and very hurriedly).
We were not prepared at all for it to be a sensory, blind folded room. We would not have booked it if we did! BUT I'm very pleased we didn't know.it was such a great experience and we really enjoyed it after the initial 'what the?!'.

An incredible experience. Hilary our host was so lovely and left us wanting to do more and more. We came back and did 3 rooms over 2 days we loved it so much!
The rooms have cool storylines all with great flow, some may perceive this as “easy” but I would disagree as you still need to work out the puzzle and solve clues.
A great team who clearly love what they do and is reflected in their rooms!
Thanks Hilary for a cool couple of days, highly recommend checking them out.

My friend Steph and I have done a few escape rooms around New Zealand and this place is probably the best I have ever done! Really clever puzzles and very interactive. We did the Into The Dark room tonight and it was a different experience to what you would normally think of when you think of an escape room. Jasmine who greeted us was so lovely and explained what we needed to do clearly so when we messed up it was our own fault! Great bants after escaping the room too which left us leaving Code Breakers feeling really happy with decision to come here and with another booking of another one of their escape rooms for tomorrow. Five stars for the room we did and five stars for Jasmine!

Although this was not my first time at Codebreakers, this was our first time ever doing a VR escape room and it was epic. We played a few of the different games, including Alice which for a fantasy lover was awesome. It's so much fun - it's really like being there!
It took a while to adjust because it's so immersive, but once I got the hang of it I'd say it rates as highly as a top tier physical escape room due to the fact the scenarios can be so abstract. I'm looking forward to going back and playing more of the VR rooms.

I have done a few escape rooms around NZ but this was my first one in Christchurch and it was awesome! We did the Antarctic room and it perfect for 4 of us to do, we all had an awesome time. The whole place is well set up and looks really cool, the staff were all nice. Highly recommend

Last minute decision to fill in some time, and so glad we came across Codebreakers. We did “the lost hut” escape room. Challenging without being frustrating. Really set the scene and was super fun. Waiting area is great, with a bar and table puzzles . Would love to try the other rooms too!
