- Tim HLondon, United Kingdom68 contributionsSuperb flight tasting with NigelAs with other reviews. We had Nigel talking us through the flight. What a great host who made us feel welcome, involved and was truly engaging. We tried the 6 wine flight and then offset the cost against a few bottles. Quite a comparison against other vineyards. For a while, as it’s away from the main drag of vineyards, we were the only customers, allowing for a really personal experience. Another couple arrived and we all then engaged in conversion. No pressure to sell, just enquire about the wine and what they do. Totally recommended for the experience and the wineVisited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 November 2023
- the_GeeeEngland, United Kingdom535 contributionsExceptional service and great wine on a smaller scaleIt was 10 nz dollars to taste 5 wines or free if you bought a bottle and to be honest it’s great wine so we bought two bottles. Fantastic service and information from Delpine. Really good to compare different winery’s and wine and this was excellent. Book in advance or ring like myself to get a time slot but Delphine is accommodating to those who just turn up. Highly recommendedVisited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 December 2023
- Daydream23942860547Leeds, United Kingdom1 contributionVisiting from the UKSteady drive up from Kaikoura, arriving in Blenheim for 1:30. Rang up and spoke to Donna. Quick taxi down to Lawson Dry Hills. Very quiet, so just chilled had some cheese, salami, olives and crackers and the tasting wines. Loved the Pinot Gris so stayed and had a bottle and watched the world come and go as it got busier. Great to meet and chat to Daphne who really does know her wine. Loved it!!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 February 2024
- Bryan A23 contributionsGreat tasting experience! We stopped at Lawson Dry Hills on the way from Picton to Kaikoura. Carol was very knowledgeable, and we tasted some really nice wines. They also have a small selection of snacks, so we had a delicious pate, cheese, and cracker lunch on their patio. It was a great stop, and we took away a lovely bottle of sauvignon blanc!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 March 2024
- Grant NHastings, New Zealand1,516 contributionsNice wine - food available - nice peopleVisited to have a taste - decided to have a bottle of Pinot Noir instead as the rest were whites and we prefer reds. The wine was excellent and we managed to liberate a couple for consumption that night. The food was pick your own from items supplied - there was a great cheese that I also managed to take with us for the night. Friendly, nice setting and down to earth. Enjoyed the wine tasting experience greatly. Attendant was most friendly, knew their product and local knowledge extremely well! Able to combine awesome wines with some other local produce onsite to prepare our picnic in the valley. Best cheers to the Marlborough wine growers and their teams. A quality product that was worth the long journey to NZ. Highly recommend this cellar door! We eagerly the next gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris releases.

Our favorite vineyard on tour in the Marlborough district. Nigel managed both our group and another smoothly. There is some lovely seating outside which would be perfect for enjoying one of their superior wines and a platter (I don’t know if they do platters - but they should). We purchased a mixed box of wines (only 6 bottles) and got them shipped home to the upper North Island for free.

They have a tiny and cozy setting cellar door. Visitors may be welcomed by Nigel, the Cellar Door manager who is always keen to share his knowledge and experience about Marlborough wines.

Visited here on the Bubbly Grape wine tour and tasted about 6 wines. Nigel answered all of our questions and was extremely knowledgeable about wine. The wine was delicious and it was one of our favourite stops on the tour!

My wife and I called in this afternoon as the winery is literally on the town boundary.
We selected some cheese, salmon and crackers to go with a bottle of their pinot noir.
The service was excellent, the surroundings lovely and the wine was really nice.
A great way to spend an hour or so on a warm, sunny afternoon.
