After 50 years of reading books and viewing photos and videos of Molesworth, we finally got there!
And it was ... perfect!

Has always been on my bucket list so decided to spend the weekend doing it. Great to travel and saw normal cars and a motor home doing the trip. I would imagine it would be a bit harder if the rivers were higher.

The roads are signposted but make sure your vehicle has a high road clearance, lack of overhangs (U shaped entrance / exits to rivers) and plenty of fuel in the tank before you go! Take corners slowly and watch for other vehicles as the roads are narrow and oncoming drivers can go a little fast!
