About
Located among vineyards you'll enjoy the scenery and course challenge when you play at Marlborough Golf Club, Fairhall, Blenheim. Founded in 1900, it's one of New Zealand's oldest courses. The par is 72 over 6052 metres off the blue tees. With only 400 members the course is never crowded. It's a friendly club where visitors are extremely welcome. Usually you can tee off without having to book a time. It's easy walking with a variety of trees and terrain, water hazards and out of bounds in the vines making it a good test of golf. Each hole is different from the next. The course is extremely well maintained by Gavin the green keeper ably assisted by club volunteers. Having an extensive course watering system in the sunniest place in the country also helps. The new clubhouse offers great home-cooked food by Carolyn and choice local wines from the club's sponsors, so the 19th is well worth a visit after your game. The club is 8 minutes' drive from Blenheim town centre and near many of the region's top cellar doors. A round of golf with us is an essential stop during your visit to Marlborough. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Great afternoons golf. All the tees fairways and greens were in tip top condition.
Not many bunkers but to make up for it lots of small creeks and sloping fairways that can send a good shot out of bounds.
Do r underestimate this course, lots of tricky holes where placement is far more important than length.
A couple of very cool dog legs and one far five out the back that twisted every which way.
Watch out for the creeks though, definitely a course where local knowledge helps.
Some distances on the tee signs would be helpful.

On arrival the locals were very welcoming and the young lady in the Pro Shop very helpful and organised the green fees and cart for me. I joined up with three other "locals" and enjoyed a wonderful round of golf with them. The course is well kept and each hole had its own set of challenges. There are water hazards as well as your fair share of OB's but if you stay reasonably straight then no issues. I lost one ball in a ditch! We were able to park our caravan at the end of the car park out of the way of the local members park but right alongside the first fairway. Enjoyed a drink in the lovely club rooms with the locals and there was food available and also caught up with the local Pro Jonti Phillipson a friendly and helpful guy. Kapai MGC for a lovely day and the superb course.

The Marlborough Golf Club is a well kept, nicely groomed course. The greens are uncomplicated and true, and the fairways are mostly straight, or doglegs around a copse of trees. Lots of streams aandrr around as tricky water hazards.
The pro shop is friendly and helpful, and the choice of clubs to hire was excellent.
Overall: a friendly, low intensity course that was fun to play.

Well kept golf course first game of golf for many years ,fairly flat course some water hazards with too many tree's for my liking , finished up either hitting a tree or in the rough. Still had lots of fun and laughs.

Love this golf course, love the looks we get when we pull up in our motorhome bus ! Usually have to show one or two people through bus before we take on this challenging course. Sloping hills, greens you can't see at tee off, some water and some ditches. Good course to stay on fairway, very doable for all HC's .

I recently was on holiday in Blenheim and had the chance to play golf at Marlborough Golf Club Fairhall and had the best experience. The course is well maintained and creates a challanging game. The greens rolled well and seemed to be a little tricky or maybe it was my putting. The pro shop Golf Hub Marlborough was one of the more flash shops at a club I have seen. Jonti the pro was nice enough to give me some pointers on the course that came in handy. I would suggest talking with Jonti before your first outing here, he has great course knowledge. And after the round a few pints in the club house it was a wonderful day and a round to remember...We look forward to coming back again!

Played a few courses in Marlborough and this is by far the best. Not easy, but fair and the holes are different and a good golf challenge. Would also recommend the 9 hole at Picton Golf Club.

Many thanks for the chance to play this beautiful golf course. We called in on our South Island road trip and found it to be a well maintained course with lovely scenery. The staff in the pro shop were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to all golf enthusiasts 😁
