we booked our trip when the bookings opened and definitely did not disappoint - absolutely magical around every corner and nook - wet and low clouds did not damper our experience - super friendly walkers we met along the way, huts excellent and rangers full...More

We walked the Routeburn Track with our 19 and 21-year old sons. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was a perfect family holiday. The views are spectacular, the huts cosy and the water in Lake McKenzie very cold!! We had the car waiting for...More

Probably one of the nicest walks we did in new Zealand. Divided the walk in three days to be able to enjoy the camping spots in between. first part starting from The Divide can be a bit "boring" to some as you are between trees...More

We loved this. Stayed two nights (Lake MacKenzie and Routeburn Flats). Started in light rain at the Divide and did not see much in the distance on first half day due to low cloud (not point walking the Key Summit; could not see anything) but...More

We did the much shorter Routeburn Nature Walk (60min return) and weren’t particularly impressed. You get bored after the first 15min as it all looks the same. The Sugarloaf swingbridge provided some diversion, but that’s about all you get.

We hiked Routeburn track from Glenorchy to The Divide over 2 days. Easyhike was the company we used to relocate our car to the Divide, so it was there upon our completion of the hike. They are super easy to work with and made the...More

We did the Routeburn Track as a 1-Day Hike from The Divide to Glenorchy (super hike, of course).... but this is a review of TRACKHOPPER car relocation service. It may be one of the best companies we've dealt with... in any country. What enabled us...More

We did three Great Walks during our time in New Zealand and the Routeburn Track was definitely our favourite. We chose the Routeburn Falls and Lake Mackenzie huts for our overnight stops and that worked out very well. We especially enjoyed the high alpine area...More

The Routeburn Track is a really enjoyable walk taking in some beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking scenes. The first day is hiking over mainly stones which can be a little trying and the walk itself is tough at times but well worth it. The huts along...More

For two of us it seemed worth it to pay for car relocation... not that much more than the bus and much more convenient. We used EasyHike and they were great!

When we did the track there were a few fit people that were doing it in a day, looked like a long day but as you say you are fit it is very do-able. The track itself is wide and well marked.
