Experience the sights and tastes of Wellington on one of our hosted walking gourmet food tours. Your friendly, local Zest guide will stroll with you through our"foodie" capital city, sampling Wellington's famous locally roasted coffee and other gastronomic delights. Meet some of our city's amazing and passionate producers and discover new flavours.

Take in the history, art and culture of our beautifully crafted and compact harbour city. Here at Zest we do believe the best way to experience Wellington and its culture is by strolling and sampling some of the many tasting pleasures on offer.

We weren't sure what to except prior to the tour. Our group was a little late because we had to take the car back to the hotel. There wasn't anyplace left to park without being ticketed. So... make sure you walk to the meeting point. Our tour guide was wonderful! She gave us history on building's and landmark's. We ate... More

I was in Wellington, NZ in November of 2013 and participated in a fantastic Zest food tour. With the city of Wellington near the water, we were able to see magnificent sites and artwork and we learned a great deal about the history of the area. Our guide, Wilma, did a phenomenal job, and we all tasted delights and laughed... More

This is THE best food tour we have ever taken, by far. Heather, our guide, was a delight and was excited to share her knowledge of the food scene as well as the history of Wellington. The purveyors of each establishment were excited to share their passion for their business and the quality of their products was exceptional. We finished... More

Highly recommend taking the Zest food tour! This walking tour takes you through the streets of Wellington and gives you a view into the entrepreneurial spirit of Wellingtons foodies. We sampled cheese, jam, coffee, gelato and chocolate all lovingly made by locals who were kind enough to share their story and craft with us. Our tour culminated with a delicious... More

This tour exceeded my expectations, it gave me a wonderful sense if the inner workings of the city as well as sharing with me many local gourmet food establishments and allowing me to share in their passion for food and drink. Our guide Heather was wonderful and more than willing to give recommendations of more places to enjoy. Such a... More

We did the Zest food tour in Wellington and were very pleased. Our guide (who happend to be Dutch) really knew what she was talking about, not only about food- and drinkfacts, but also about the city. It was a perfect combination of walking, talking, visiting historic places, but above all, learn about the food-culture in NZ. A very good... More

We took this tour while on a cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice around NZ. Although it may seem a little expensive for a few tastings around Wellington - this is also a very good walking tour of the city- well paced while being very relaxed and casual. Our guide - Heather - not only talked about food, coffee etc we... More

We were picked up from our accommodation and greeted by a lovely guide names Sue. We then made our way to a wine making tour at coney wines .... More

This tour was booked through our agent and I was not aware of how much food we would be eating. Had I known, I would not have dinner the night before! Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it's such a shame that your travel agent did not give you accurate information about your tour - it's definitely a gourmet food tour with some walking, not a walking tour with a little bit of food. This was a great walking tour and, though expensive, I found it very worthwhile, not only for the wonderful food tastings but because our guide, Fiona, pointed out a lot of local land marks and sculptures, explaining their history and importance to us.
