You would never believe that this building is made of wood. It's so well kept and to think it was built in 1874 ! The way it is maintained is a credit to it's custodians.

We visited these buildings on a walking tour. Lots of history inside. There are displays showing what it was like in the 30;'s, even a vault you can enter.

One of the highlights on any trip to Wellington. The largest wooden building in the Southern hemisphere. Fantastic history including being the seat of Government. Briliantly restored.

An awesome building with so much character, we can see how and why the decisions made here are for the best of New Nealand. Would suggest a stop and picture session even if just for an hour
